Just picked up a 70 watt HPS from home depot. Will this do much for lighting? I also have 8 23 watt CFLs. Am i best just sticking with the CFLs? or will the HPS help?

the HPS will help, but i would have gotten something over 70watts. its definately better than nothing though, and itll help stretch the plants even if just a little. i'd use it when you switch over to flowering.

Yes depending on how many plants you plan on growing with the 70watt it will help more than you think. Personally i try to use atleast 50 watts per plant so that mean with my 400 watt hps i could comfortably grow 8 plants. Just keep that in mind and keep on growing. :joint::peace::peace::peace:

you should get rid of the cfl s and just use the hps. use an hps bulb that is more for horticulture purposes rather than outdoor security. is my opinion

dont listen to the above post. 70 watt is not nearly enough to merit throwing out the cfls. if you had a 600w thats a different story. keep them all and use them all the way through. nothing wrong with it. you wont get massive yields, but definitely enough for personal smoke.

no keep all the cfls and the hps man..i found pages where ppl have used flourescents for flowering!! plus cfls have alot of lumens and the more lumens the better
