Question on properly ventilating my room.

I'm currently in a 9x11 room trying to run 2 1000w HID Through Magnum XXL Reflector 6" with a window on the wall farthest from the door that I was planning on ventilating out through a piece of plywood, the right duct collar, and weather stripping. The fan I'm using is a hurricane 6" fan.
My question is am I missing anything in terms of venting the room? Would it be helpful to use two can fans, or pointless?
Thanks for the help!

Your plans sound feasible with the 6" fan. Just make sure you get the biggest carbon filter you can unless you live in a legal state and don't mind everybody in the neighborhood smelling your grow.

what is the height of the room
need for math figures LxWxH cubic foot of air ....this tells us how much u have to move (some do it every 5mins refresh the air i am a lover of the over kill factor i would go 1 min or 45 secs ..allows u to keep the ac on a lower cooling setting) ....just know u are changing the air flow in your house for a few weeks someone might sneeze or something from stuff getting kicked up

as for the air cooled hoods ......some of the systems if not most have a heat senor that will kill the fan to prevent it from getting damaged from heat (the inline fans not the booster can fans) ......for this reason i would alter where u have the fan system put it in the middle of the 2 lights so one is suck and one is blow instead of 2 sucking the heat builds up

the 6 inch fan is mainly for removing IR heat build up on the leaves of the plant ....plus it keeps the air moving around

what the guy said above me ....add on this

put it on the wood then spray paint it all flat black ......inside make sure u seal the window frame to the board other wise insects will come in ......but that vent is spring loaded when u turn off it will close ..when it is on the force of a 6 inch inline fan is more then enough to keep anything out of the lines

and if u do not need a carbon filter or care about the smell u still need a bug screen or dust shroom

You’re just gonna pull the room air through the a carbon and the hoods? I would pull from another source like the attic but put a dust shroom on the intake side of the duct. If you can duct the exhaust straight out through the window, more power to you. Seal up the ceiling & exhaust real good. This way you’re not sucking the cold co2 enriched air right out the room. Don’t suck the carbon through your lights or vent it out the house. Get another fan and let it scrub the room. If you’re pulling the window out and adding board, I would strongly advise putting in a 1/2 ton wall AC with recirculate option. This game is expensive at first but it only hurts once after you get everything

Thanks for your response brother. My room is 8' high.
Thanks for the product suggestions, but I'm curious if you meant for the white vent to be throw on inside connecting to the first lamp, or to the vent outside through the window?
What you said about the 6" fan makes a lot of sense, and I've already made the adjustment.

I was planning on using the carbon filter separate from the lights ventilation for sure. I would definitely pull from the attic but I'm not sure about access to it because I live in a town house. So I'm not sure about space between neighbors if that makes any sense. Not much experience in the building and renovating departments so far.

copy that! I started growing indoors in a closet in my apartment on the 2nd floor. there was a tiny 6" space before the roof to duct my 1000w light. luckily in those days all we had was 4" duct.

So do you think it is worth a shot to just go for it, or do you feel like that's a risk not worth taking?
