Question regarding Super Soil recipe

Hi there! The idea of a "perfect soil" which requires only regular watering is incredible, and first of all I'd like to thank Subcool for the recipe (+rep, btw).

But I'm going to be doing things on a smaller scale - six to eight plants maximum. The recipe calls for 8 large bags of high quality organic potting soil with coco and Mycorrhizae, 25-50 lbs. of organic worm castings, 5 lbs. of Blood meal, etc. Seems a bit over the amount I need for such a small scale grow.

Would anyone be able to recalculate the ingredients to reflect using, say, two large bags of organic potting soil?

It's just that I don't want to get my math wrong (not my strongest suit) and so I thought I'd ask the community.

If you can, cool, if you can't, also cool. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Thanks everyone!

Fox Farm Ocean Forest all day.. Can grow plants from the first 4-5 weeks off just PH balanced water, Which is pretty much most of the vegetative stage!

Right, but Subcool's "Super Soil" is said to be able to take the plant straight through both phases without any additive requirements.

Not that I'm trying to minimize the efficacy of FFOF, I'm just interested in making my own batch of "SUPER SOIL", and the idea of a maintenance-free growing medium.

Sounds just like some timed nutrients like guano and bone meal introduced in the soil before inducing flowering, Interesting.. Please lead me to more info if you find some.

Have you ever thought of using the Roots Organics soil? It's coco based, but gets composted for 24 months, so becomes more like regular soil. They kick it up a notch, tho, by adding all sorts of their own shit to it. My local store told me this stuff was the best, but to be careful-- plants that are not established enough will be burned, so get 'em vegged a little first, and then throw them in. If you're doing a longer veg it might be the way to go. . . Apparently it has enough to get them all the way through. I'm planning on using it in my current cycle, but have some time before I bust it out. :peace:

The calculation you're looking for has been done and is posted over on subcool's supersoil thread. You may need to wade through a lot of posts but it is there somewhere...

Hey guys, I was looking into the whole subcool's package of super soil and just had a question much similar to what AgentZero was asking and that was how much exactly do you guys think of the ingredients I would need in order to grow only one plant as that is what I am trying to accomplish because I am a beginner and would like to know that exact amount if possible. If you can, thank you so much, and if you can't, I really appreciate you trying to help me. P.S.(I am also not good at using math to narrow down those figures lol)

So I take it for only one plant, I will only need 1 cubic feet of soil which translates into this amount of ingredients needed for the super soil:

Worm castings 2.08 to 4.17 pounds
Steamed bone meal 7 ounces
bloom bat guano 7 ounces
blood meal 7 ounces
rock phosphate 4 ounces
Epson salt 1.00 tablespoons
dolomite .67 tablespoons
azomite .67 tablespoons
powdered humic acid .50 teaspoon

oh and here is a picture of the plant I'm going to try and grow. It's called a ganja Dwarf

I also have one more question. This plant has the so called ability of autoflowering which makes it skip the vegitative growth stage. If that is the case does it render this soil useless for the plant as they say this soil is used for when the plant is in it's vegitative growth phase. Can I still use this soil mix even though it may skip this phase? please help.
