i have three diy lights with 4 vero cobs each. i'm using the 5.4 x 22" usa heatsinks active cooled. they run slightly warm. they are using 50w-hv350 45w drivers driving 2 cobs each. if i understand right 7 or 8 watts a cob. i did a ppfd and lux test with my phone. the box is 2'x2' at 12" center lux 45000, ppfd 1160 the center of each 1'x1' block around 37500 lux and around 975 ppfd.its not a good pic but i have room.

i know it is low for what i need so i'm thinking i can add a BXEB-L0560Z-30E2000-C-B3 one to each heatsink with the cobs. each strip is 19.5vdc run em at .700ma. here's were i need a check. if i have it right for three strips i need at least a 60vdc output. the drivers i'm looking at are the PDA060-
700B and KTLD-60-UV-700-W2. am i in the right area? newbox2.jpg

Those drivers are good for 60w, they should be good. I would add a dimmer though. That's a ton of ppfd in a 2x2
Agree, thats tons of light. Op: have you even tried to grow with this? (Checked your posting and seems like you already grow with this)
Not sure im counting your watts rught but it sounds like youre using about 50w per 2 cobs, 12 cobs total, 300w?!? Thats a lot of watts!

If you want to add more light why not try something different instead, maybe adding reds or uv? The higher the light intensity the more you need to focus on adding stuff that enhance your spectrum. Theres a limit to how much white light you can add without hitting light saturation.

Drivers: you seem to be in the right direction, its easier to help if you link drivers youre looking at.

25 watts per cob? Wow that is a lot more then I have been told. Yes I have been growing with it for a few years now. I move my plants up to my lights and don't seem to have enough light penetration (spelling). I may understand it wrong but I thought I read that my ppfd and lux are on the low side.

Penetration: im not exactly sure this is a real thing. How do you know you have low penetration? By measuring by light or by how much lower buds you get? If its by lower buds: this isnt so much a low light thing, rather a plant management issue; we get nice big buds 16" down where light levels are low (50-100ppfd) due to effective pruning of sucker bud sites. If you measure by light levels; more light on top isnt going to move the dial much since your cannopy will shade lowers.
If you want more light into lower cannopy id advice side mounting the blux strips to the walls, upper cannopy will absorb most light.

On your wattage i only have your words for it, i understood 50w per 2 cobs. But 300w seems a lot.

Do you have a grow thread? How much do you yield per run?

I really dont think that more white light is going to make a difference, at least not on top. You have high light levels if your measurements are on point. However 45000lux would normally be less than 1160 ppfd.
