Questions about using the HydroFarm Stack!t 36" drying rack

I was just given a Stackit drying rack, no way will I fill the 6 trays. But with the staggered harvest I could use two trays each for the 3 harvest times.

I have always either hung the whole plant inverted or branches inverted and waited for till just before stem snap to begin curing.

With this rack should I cut individual buds, will the buds dry to fast? Or lay the whole branch laid in the trays, Isn't there a greater chance of mold laying down?

Anyone have any thoughts about this?

I have done final flush, will water a few days with pH'ed plain water and harvest on Monday. I am harvesting 5 of the 12 ladies on Monday (two White Rhino, clear trichs at present and 3 Exodus Cheese 50+% cloudy but no amber). Then 5 on the on the 12th, again 2 WR and 3 EC. The remaining two WR will be watched for amber trichs and chop when there is about 20 to 30% amber.

If I get no responses I will probably leave the Stackit in the case and hang them as usual. Would hate for something else going wrong during this grow.

yes it dries faster but doesnt hurt the product at all. Its made of mesh so it can breath on the bottom side:/ usually takes about 3 days of drying with a fan in the room, then its ready to sweat for 12 hrs in a jar and back out to dry again for 12-24 hrs. Back to jar to cure. its pretty easy to do it this way. this is the way I have always done it

If anyone gave gave one of those to me, I'd take it in the shower and scrub it down with dish soap.

You probably want to leave as much stem as possible to slow the drying process just as you would hang drying.

I know what you mean by it possibly was a used one. I got this from the hydroponics shop I do business with. An employee, the one I know, just purchased it from the original owners. We were talking about drying and he ask if I had ever used the Stackit's, he said he had a large one. We opened it an I said I could not fit it in my cab and would have to use the closet where the cab get its fresh air supply. He said if I wanted the big one he would make me a hell of a deal on it. I said how much, he smiled and said "for you my friend, today it is free"! Then he said it was not on the original materials list so he got it for free, so he gave it to me.
