I have some random questions ive been wanting to ask. If anyone can answer them in some way that would be great. Im going to a CC meeting soon to ask these, but i was hoping i could get some answered here 1st.

These are directed at dispenseries.

Whats the typical quality of MM you buy? Cheapest? Most expensive?

How much do you typically buy at once? How often?

Whats strains are the most popular?

Do people prefer hydro, organic, or no preference?

Directed towards the community

How long do you think these dispenseries will stay open?

Why does everyone dislike the dispenseries?

Who can sell to the dispenseries? CG? Patient? Both?

Can 2 or 3 people grow under the same lights without each individuals plants being locked within their own areas/cubicles/rooms?

If i have a fenced locked area can i grow outside in favorable months?

Who has the right within the law to sell MM? CG? Patient? Dispenseries? Clinics?

As laws are made more clear in the future do you think they will favor Cg's, patients, dispenseries, etc?

Does the community frown upon patients/Cg's/Dispenseries making money? Why?

Appreciate you reading, and would love to hear your guys' opinions. Thanks

I am medical but I grow my own, so I do not go to dispensaries or have my own caregiver... I can, however, answer some questions in regards to Michigan's laws about Medical Marijuana. I know for a fact the Medical Marijuana from the dispensaries here are TOP notch, but close to street price. $45 - $55 an 1/8 usually is what it costs. But it's always good.

While most dispensaries carry a mix of hydro and organic (because caregivers can sell their extra crop) I prefer organic. The taste is smoother and the high seems to be a little more controllable, but I love some good hyrdo too! I wouldn't be able to tell you which strains are most popular but dispensaries carry a LOT. Legally you are allowed to possess up to 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana at 1 time, so you wouldn't be able to obtain more than that at a time...but I am not sure on frequency of visit.

I stay away from the dispensaries because it keeps me under the radar that much more. Even though I'm legal, I'm still paranoid and cover my own ass... I don't want to be in the store when the dispensary gets raided for whatever stupid reason. If you are a registered caregiver you can sell to the dispensaries, but I'm not sure on that whole process either since, like I said, don't go to them.

Your grow area must be in a concealed a locked room or area. If it's fenced in outdoors and not fully concealed, it won't do.

I answered the questions I thought I could answer accurately for you, sorry it's not in the best order.

Thanks. Ill put it in order later. I appreciate the response. :)

Id like to get some other opinions as well. Maybe someone can cover the other questions?

I just used your question list from above. I hope this helps a bit.

These are directed at dispenseries.

Whats the typical quality of MM you buy? Cheapest? Most expensive?
I can't discuss pricing here, but I can speak to what is looked for. The meds should be well manicured and cured properly. A lot of meds with good potential get pushed to the side when those factors aren't done properly.

How much do you typically buy at once? How often?
Can't discuss amount, but meds are brought in according to demand.

Whats strains are the most popular?
I've noticed that these are asked for on a fairly regular basis: Blue Dream, Sour Diesel (any Diesel for that matter), White Widow, White Rhino, AK-47, AK-48, Haze varieties and Kush varieties (namely Hindu and Afghani)

Do people prefer hydro, organic, or no preference?
Some ask how the meds are grown, but that is actually a rare question. Personally, I prefer the taste and look of soil grown.

How long do you think these dispenseries will stay open?
Until government officials decide that they are not proper and do not fit in with the MMMP. There is a lot of grey area, so it's a matter of when there are some concrete decisions and legislation directed at the dispenseries.

Why does everyone dislike the dispenseries?
I wouldn't say everyone. There is a population that like the ability to go to a pharmacy/store (whatever you may call it) for their medication due to convenience and some have had bad experiences with caregivers. Others are waiting for their own crops to finish out or their caregiver's, these individuals use the dispensaries for 'in between' times. Those who dislike the dispensaries may see these places as something taking away from caregivers. Also, as a previous poster said, they feel they are even more under the radar.

Who can sell to the dispenseries? CG? Patient? Both?
In the instances I've seen across the board, both can become vendors to dispensaries.

Can 2 or 3 people grow under the same lights without each individuals plants being locked within their own areas/cubicles/rooms?
This I'm not sure of, I've had answers go both ways.

If i have a fenced locked area can i grow outside in favorable months?
As long as no one can see it, that's from what my understanding is. I would check what local/city laws say to it.

Who has the right within the law to sell MM? CG? Patient? Dispenseries? Clinics?
Again, the law's grey area makes this a bit muddled. A caregiver can definitely transfer to their own patients, but outside of their patient list is questionable. Clinics and dispensaries are still questionable.

As laws are made more clear in the future do you think they will favor Cg's, patients, dispenseries, etc?
I think if anything it will favour caregivers and patients most since that's what the law is mostly based upon. Dispensaries maybe not so much. However, it is possible that the state will look at what kind of revenue they can get from dispensaries and leave them as they are. Also, caregivers and patients with crops are generating capital and a lot of those people were out of work not too long ago. It could be seen as a way to turn things around.

Does the community frown upon patients/Cg's/Dispenseries making money? Why?
I think there should be some sort of compensation. There's a large sum of money going into grow equipment, seeds, clones and nutrients, so we cannot let these people stay in the red their entire time growing. However, I don't think that we should allow these groups to make disgusting amounts of money because in the end, the patients lose out because they are locked in to paying high prices and it then reverts back to being like the pharmaceutical medication that they've had a hard time paying for anyway.

(I am a grower, but I also purchase from other caregivers and have seen dispensaries)
Whats the typical quality of MM you buy? Cheapest? Most expensive?
I look for quality that beats the worst stuff I have grown. My first grow was some rego seeds from a random bagseed. "Poop" weed or anything that seems like that is unacceptable for medical quality. Meds should blow your mind.
How much do you typically buy at once? How often?
For myself at least an eighth per week.
Whats strains are the most popular?
The best shit you can find.
Do people prefer hydro, organic, or no preference?
Either, just not messed up. There is a right way to do things.

How long do you think these dispenseries will stay open?
Until the Supreme Court hears the cases that will challenge their rights. Dispensaries are already being raided, the laws are being challenged. It will be up to the Supreme Court to decide who is right and wrong. Also, they will decide how to interpret the law, which currently Does not allow what we call "dispensaries."

Why does everyone dislike the dispenseries?
I don't dislike them at all. I just wont goto them unless there is no other option.

Who can sell to the dispenseries? CG? Patient? Both?
If you got it, they want it.

Can 2 or 3 people grow under the same lights without each individuals plants being locked within their own areas/cubicles/rooms?
More research needed.

If i have a fenced locked area can i grow outside in favorable months?
Indoor experience only.

Who has the right within the law to sell MM? CG? Patient? Dispenseries? Clinics?
No one, it is illegal under Michigan law to sell MM. Caregivers are "compensated" for their work.
When it comes to law and rights, there is a whole 'nother can of worms. Read the law and memorize it. Then understand that it can change at any time.Just get enough people and the right mindset.

As laws are made more clear in the future do you think they will favor Cg's, patients, dispenseries, etc?
Cg's are the farmers, dispensaries are the super markets. Who would you favor?

Does the community frown upon patients/Cg's/Dispenseries making money? Why?
Funding that goes towards the cause for a better good is ok by me.

Several dispens got busted already so you'll see more of this. I see no where in the law that allows for them. Our law was drafted the same as Rhode Islands mj law and they had to ammend the law to allow dispens and ptp transfers. Read up on it to see but I've checked into this alot and see NO WHERES IN OUR LAW THAT ALLOWS DISPENS here in Mich. Courts will have to answer this issue but as of yet no ruling are done on dipens here in Mich.Hopefully in the future we'll be allowed to have them without fear of getting raided but as of now,,,,,,, it's a fast way to the court house....

Locked room doesn't just mean indoors as a locked green house is allowed or say a dog kennel with a top and locked and sides closed from pryin eyes is allowed under current law.
They(leo) pushed back in several counties about this but finding it allowed in the courts so be DAM careful if trying this and check with your local leos to see what they think about it.
2 or 3 folks in same room:
No. If having a co-op like this then all must be seprate and controlled only by the person on the card or paperwork so does have to be separate from each other. Husband a wife givers maybe diffrent as I've not seen this issue hit the courts yet.
Who can sell to dispens's: No body. You can't sell mj to anyone, just your servise of giving and dispens's cant be patients and selling service is only allowed to caregivers and patients.
I have over 350 members in our club and we've went over these questions time and time again and some may not like the answer but it's the honest one. Gray ares will get ya to court so if ya have plenty of time and mony to spend on court then have at pushing the gray areas as some need to be fixed. If ya dont then keep to what we know is allowed and dispen's are not one of them.

Trying to figure out as much about the gray areas as I possibly can...so my question would be: If caregiver/patient -> dispensary transfers (with service compensation) are *not* legal, how is one able to supply the needs for 350 patients? Assuming the club grows their 99, won't they still need to either have to hire 3rd party growers (allocating 6 patients per grower) or accept overages (with service compensation) from members or non-members) to support this many patients?

PS If a patient joins a dispensary/collective/club, then does he/she give up his/her right to grow for themselves?

These are directed at dispenseries.

Whats the typical quality of MM you buy? Cheapest? Most expensive?

This depends heavly on the end user, i usally get a 1/4 to 1/2 of Reggi and a few grams of medical quality

How much do you typically buy at once? How often?
I (with my wife) burn through about a 1/2 to an O a week, we buy it when we are out.

Whats strains are the most popular?

Again depends on the end user, stick with the older strains like Ak-47, white widow, ECT.. The genetics have been around forever and are pretty much uniform that and if your trying to sell it name recognition helps, i had two O's of Island Sweet (perfectly good herb) that i could not sell because people thought it was off-brand (actually had one person tell me that...)

Do people prefer hydro, organic, or no preference?
Again the end user is in charge here. i have personally smoked hydro, all organic, and all the other growing methods with little difference in quality..i personally maintain its all about the flush and cure

Directed towards the community

How long do you think these dispenseries will stay open?
Untill they are busted by the feds or the local government shuts them down.

Why does everyone dislike the dispenseries?
I personally have no problem with them, it is easy access to (usually) good medication. Most the people that do not like them as against capitalism in the MMJ industries.. I agree a little, people who TRULY benifit from this form of medicatiing should not be forced to pay $300 t0 $450 an O...Aids MEDS are cheaper...

who can sell to the dispenseries? CG? Patient? Both?
Check with the dispenseries, most will but overages from either.

Can 2 or 3 people grow under the same lights without each individuals plants being locked within their own areas/cubicles/rooms?
that would be a co-op and would technically be legal i think...but really just grow your own, the fewer people you involve the better off you'll be,

If i have a fenced locked area can i grow outside in favorable months?
all the law states is "closed, locked, facility." so it sounds good to me.

Who has the right within the law to sell MM? CG? Patient? Dispenseries? Clinics?
NO ONE!!!! the caregiver is allowed to receive reasonable accommodations for growing the plant.. MI laws are not set up like CA or CO.

As laws are made more clear in the future do you think they will favor Cg's, patients, dispenseries, etc?
It should benifit the Patient..

Does the community frown upon patients/Cg's/Dispenseries making money? Why?
Yes and no...CG should make somthing for the time invested however $450 an O is not okay IMO

Appreciate you reading, and would love to hear your guys' opinions. Thanks
appreciate the questions....i am not 100% about the selling questions maybe some one else can chime in

Here's my take, anyone feel free to correct me if I've made any mistakes.

How long do you think these dispenseries will stay open?

My gut feeling? not long. The bottom line is that there is nothing in the Michigan law that permits them. The way the law is written, caregivers can have 5 patients each, so even if you were allowed to grow, it doesn't make any kind of fiscal sense to open a store where you can service 5 people. The same 5 people. In order for dispensaries to make sense, they will have to amend the law.

Why does everyone dislike the dispenseries?

A lot of it has to do with the fact that this is a legal grey area, Others feel that the prices are far too high. Others think that anything profit driven is wrong. As for me, I think that with the way the laws are and the market is, it just doesn't make sense in Michigan.

Who can sell to the dispenseries? CG? Patient? Both?

Again, there is nothing in the law allowing for dispensaries, as such there is no regulation governing how they can operate.

Can 2 or 3 people grow under the same lights without each individuals plants being locked within their own areas/cubicles/rooms?

From a legal standpoint, I would say no. The part that's tricky is where it addresses the closed and locked facility. Only the patient and caregiver are supposed to have access to the same grow space, nobody else. This is how the law does not allow for growing cooperatives.

If i have a fenced locked area can i grow outside in favorable months?

"Enclosed, locked facility" should mean yes. In all honesty, with the michigan weather the way it is, I can never imagine myself growing outside. Also, local municipalities can regulate this, saying no-outdoor growing is allowed. You're basically inviting the smell to travel and attract who knows what. The way I look at it, outdoor growing is just too risky.

Who has the right within the law to sell MM? CG? Patient? Dispenseries? Clinics?

Caregivers only have the right to sell, and only to one of 5 specified patients. They, like the patients, can purchase from any source.

As laws are made more clear in the future do you think they will favor Cg's, patients, dispenseries, etc?

It depends on a lot of things. Who is in the legislature at the time, who has the power, which way the winds are blowing, etc. Dispensaries make more sense, but a lot of this power will end up falling in the hands of the smaller municipalities who can use exclusionary zoning to lock out dispensaries, require building permits for grow rooms, etc. They will decide what can be done at the end of the day.

Does the community frown upon patients/Cg's/Dispenseries making money? Why?

Some do. I think there's a fine line between being compensated for your time and efforts, making a living, and taking advantage of people. The idea that everything is free and should be free is far too idealistic for the real works. I have no problem with you taking a little bit off the top for yourself, but if you start charging me $600/oz I'm going to get upset.

A c.g can only sell/contribute to his/her pt's that they are registered thru the mmmp thru, despensea are ilegal, no one is allowed to sell there overages period,

Despenses are purchasing from c.g an pt's at this time, it dont mean it is legal,

a pt can get their mm from any one, you can buy from the guy in the alley, as long as you dont have more than your 2.5 oz's you are good, the guy selling it to you will go to jail, If you are not his pt!

for an out door grow you have to have it in a locked secured area, a dog kennel with a chain link fence is good, it has to be locked, none of your neighbors or any one driving by can see it, if some one can see it from a fixed building (house, ect) it is not legal, if they can see it from their 2nd story of the house it is not legal!

I dont suggest growing in the same house as another c.g, but if lets say you and your wife are c.g's and have pt's, you have to grow them in seperate rooms, they cant be grown together, what alot of my friends do in that situation is one claims the veg room as theirs and the other claims the flower room as theirs! make sure rooms are always locked, even if only the 2 of you live there, your front and back door is not considered locke rooms,,,,they need to have doors and locks on the rooms, and your plants have to be seperated!

Above all dont tell people you are growing, people have big mouths and it can only lead to trouble, leo finding out, rippers finding out and jack you!

Loose Lips Sink Ships!

I hope this helps and dont discourage you, it can and is being done, just stay under the radar, dont think you are going to get rich lol,,
a c.g can be reimbursed for their time and costs, it is not considered a sale! c.g's can be reimbursed for their work, no taxes, cash biz!

Peace

Thanks. Ill put it in order later. I appreciate the response. :)

Id like to get some other opinions as well. Maybe someone can cover the other questions?
No body can legaly sell to despenses, they are ilegal and c.g cant sell to c.g's or anyone they are not connected to thru the registry, pt's cant sell to any one, they can purchase from any one,

out side grows cant be seen by any one, if you have neighbors and they can see your grow from their 2nd story you cant grow out doors!

if you try to have 2 c.g's in the same house the plants have to be in seperate locked rooms and can only be accessed by the grower!

Peace

maybe some people dislike dispensaries because they have historically been AGAINST home growing, naturally, because cg's are in direct competition with their business model, and legal while we do it. Dispensaries are well known for getting their supply out of state anyways............ just wait till Trump finds out about that!

Maybe dispensaries are mad because caregivers are refusing to tumble buds for the kief like some dispensaries do?

Dispensaries are way too expensive. I went to one several times after getting my license only for edibles.
