Quick Cloning question...

I have 2 clones that I cut off my baby so that I could sex it, but after 5 days of flowering, My big girl decided to show me some preflowers. Would it be ok to put the clones back in veg. so I can use one for a "mother" or did I screw that up?

did you try to flower the clones or the mom or both?

I put the clones on 12/12 a few days after they rooted just so I could determine sex of the big girls. Well, then like after 5 days of 12/12 of the clones, the big girls showed me preflowers so I put the cuttings back in veg. I don't want to use the preflowered girls as mothers so I figured it might be ok to use one of the clones as "mom" but I was afraid that it may have reduced the strength of the strain cuz they had a few days of dark. I hope I made sense there.
