Quick lst question

ok so i have a quick question about lst, now my plant isn't ready yet but won't be long before i have a proper node and 2 leaf sets this is when i will start lst but my seedling has grown at a slight angle i would say like 45 degree or so when i lst this plant would it be best to go the way it is already leaning or the opposite way ?

i know it sounds abit of a stupid question i just dont wanna break the stem trying to bend it, im thinking go the way it is already leaning just wanted someone with abit of experience.

thanks

Not sure am on the same page, but I generally LST the whole plant every grow. If you are opening up the same amount of bud sites going the same way as the lean I would go with that.

Funny, my current grow when I was LSTing (which I do when they reach 15"-18") I had one snap completely but noticed all the branches were all about the same length and just cut things off completely at the break and did not LST it. That one is looking to produce 6 nice colas. ;)

On tip I discovered with my bending is that I like to water the day before I do it so the plants are nicely hydrated yet the soil has firmed up again. This keeps the bending from lifting the root ball.

You can bend it the direction it's already leaning, all you're doing is pulling the plant down so the tops turn and grow up, spreading out the plant and opening it up for even canopy. I usually give em 3-4 nodes before puttin it to em, but by all means tie away!

thank you for the reply's

That is exactly what i will do i'll go the way it is leaning i figured that would be less stressful on her tbh and height is an issue so i'm gonna lst as early as possible..

Cannabis is very resilient, she can take alot. But just like a human you have to treat them nicely when young and as they get bigger the more abuse they can take. When I bend and twist I feel for the slight crunching from the center of the stem. When I hear that I lighten my touch and shape them as I please. Just an example of how resilient these ladies are check this pic of what I did a couple days ago.20170116_082941.jpg

I thought she was gonna break and I was pretty rough so that should give you some ideal of how much a plant can take.

that's awesome! so do you think i should wait for 3rd node instead? in all honesty with light and pot in the grow box i have a maximum of around 16" for actual plant but i do have width and they are bubblegum auto's so i figured two plants lst will get me a steady ounce hopefully more.

I'm not sure on autos from what I read they should flower when they are ready I would wait if your unsure about twisting and bending till the third node just in case you brake a branch you still have the lower growth that can take its place.

Do you have any pics to reference? Might be easier to give info if we can see what your working with.

I know your plants aren't this big but just to give you and ideal
First and second pics are before and after
Third and fourth pics are day of LST and day after.20170116_080635.jpg 20170116_082633.jpg 20170116_082617.jpg 20170117_130525.jpg

lol for an auto this is the most important time, any stunting or shock will mess up your end yield.
LST is very light as someone said on another thread "to open up to light".
Id deffo give em a little longer before i tried anything.

It's a stealth set up and with light over hang and 6" pots im looking at around 16" of actual plant, i know some people will take the piss and say it isn't gonna be worth it but i don't wanna earn money from it i'm not gonna sell it and where i live isn't liberal minded "yet" on the benefits of weed curing anxiety, depression and i just want an ounce of nice smoke but i also am a family man so it needs to be out of the way and as quiet as possible.

Heres a pic of the room ( or lack of it) i have lol

If i can create a level canopy do you think these two plants in that grow box could pull an ounce??

i have that 125w cfl which i can lift higher and two 30 w cfl above it that is 185w actual watts it's like 10,000 lumens, i read somewhere if you have 155w plus, its enough to grow two ok sized plants.

if anyone has any advice or experience with cfl or limited height/space that they could kindly share with a noob that would be awesome..

As a tip, when potting up I would get a tray for your medium instead of a pot. A pot will take up.more height and offer less medium for the roots. You could even pot both plants in the same tray....
Another tip. Don't rush plants, let them do their thing. :) good luck.
