Quick Newbie DWC Question

Im going to throw a whole new wrench into this. I dont use either because I hate Rockwool because I hate the possiblity of alge growing on it. and I hate the peat because it gets my res dirty. what I do is germ my seeds in a paper towel, when I get a tap root that is about 2 inches long I put it in a 2 inch neopren collar making sure its loose, not tight, othwise you can choke your little root. Then put the little guy in to a small dwc container/cloner until it gets some nice roots I shoot for about 6-8 inches, then take off the neoprene collar, lay the roots on the bottom of a 2 inch net pot and fill with expanded clay pellets. I really like this process, not the norm, but I dont like rockwool coco or peat so it works for me. Something to try if you get bored.

Definetly a monkey wrench in the plan. I have never heard of this technique but im very interested:weed:
