Quick question about chop larf and harvest

So im a traditionalist. I flush about 10 days before chop. I also have always removed larf because i have always thought it allows the tops to focus the energy. But my buddy mentioned i could chop half my plant when it comes to harvest and and drop my lights to allow for and additional 10 days to allow the larf to swell up a bit. I dont like defoiliating so my question im at two weeks in flower. Im growing several forms of og. Tahoe fire true lemon and Josh D. I have top genetics i inherited. Anyway. This is one of my test rooms. So my question is this true. I flush with the only an product i use which is flawless. I use a very weird nute schedule. Mostly primordial og biowar sea green true bloom canna bio boost and pk 13 14. I also use regalia as a bio stimulant and hygrozyme. I use blackstrap as my sweetner. I would love some feedback on this chop and pop method. Do i need to hold back on the flush?

I had good experience with staggered harvest on my last grow. In comparison I got an extra oz of smokeable bud from the plant I half harvested and let continue. These were small plants only producing up to 3oz each.

I'm now experimenting with trimming the larf and suckers on 1 of 2 plants and see a large difference in bud size already. The other will be staggered harvest. These are 5 footers so I'll use the final weight to determine which seems better.

Staggered harvest does work well. Which is better in the long run? Debatable.

Not sure how I feel about flushing. It's not done with organic grows and people claim to get better tasting, smoother smoke from organic. Also, nature doesn't flush. Common sense tells me this is "bro-science". I guess this is another thing I have to test for myself. Like "Don't ever top an auto". Oh, really?

I never got in the habit of taking weed pictures when I used to grow before. So I only have pictures of one.
Observe how as it finishes off I remove the leaves only once all the nitrogen that can be transferred quickly is gone from them.
As it was growing outdoors, I also removed whole branches and large colas lower off down the plant. Until everything left is put into overdrive.
That tiny pot did a cola larger than your forearm. The soil was so alive mushrooms would pop up after watering.

Both very pretty. Mine are only 2nd week. But im popping pretty good. I incorporated sea green into my regimen this time which is the only thing different but my grow sites are literally everywhere this round. Which is why i care about the larf. I would put in some low hanging cfls but im already tapped on amps. Using 6 gavitas a 14 inch carbon fan three wall fans and 36k mini split in this room as well as an ideal 110 dehum on a 60 amp circuit. So when i harvest i guess consensus is ill chop the top and let the lowers ripen a bit. Its better than throwing away if say 10 extra days can bring a bit more. Am i correct?
