Quick Question About Lighting

I have 5 fluorescent lights that are 15 watts apiece so that makes 75 W?? Right? And i want to start growing my first plant and need to know if these lights will work. If they do work then i'm going to start growing them in the corner of my room which is about 10' by 10' if not a foot or two bigger.
Any advice you have to give me would be a big help.
