@G.V looking sweet in there, sorry I ain't been popping in here much, you no the score.
Glad you got the feeding EC sorted, I freaked out when you upped it so high, but had no idea your background EC was very high. With the high background ec your spot on, mine is 0.2 from the tap just took it for granted it was similar to yours. Me bad.

Take care m8.

RDWC = recirculating DWC. No replacing tubs needed because the water flows through them. The plants can stay in place for the entire cycle.
Yeah I know. I was asking for DWC grows, which I'm doing. How to change the res in a dwc, when scrogging, was what I was wondering.

Some folks just top off rather than swap buckets. Others have a drain built in.

As you're starting to see, DWC has some limitations when one starts to scale up the approach.

RDWC has its advantages but on the other hand, it does not tolerate warm water temperatures at all well. It really needs to keep the water temperature in the mid 60s to perform. That usually means a chiller.

I guess it boils down to which hassle you're more willing to put up with, lol

Ideally I'd like to be just topping off and not changing res in dwc as well. I was going to hold off until flush time, I'm week 4 flower, but I began getting ph down spikes, which seems to always happen around week 2 of a res cycle life, so I ended up switching out last night.

I'm only doing two plants and don't plan on doing more than that in the upcoming future. Possibly add 2 more to the tent at some point, I wouldn't have room for more than that. But rdwc, even though in theory seems ideal, probably wouldn't be for me, because I'm growing a sativa and an indica and the feeding rate is drastically different between the two. with an rdwc i only have one res, can't alter the nutrients for each plant.

And yeah, mid 60's wouldn't be doable for me without having a chiller, which I'm not looking to get. Temps are steady around 73 for me doing dwc, no issues yet. It's the hottest point of summer just passing, so I shouldn't ever see temps above that in the grow room.

Perfect! That adds even more weight to that net lid though, jeez people have muscles. I like how close that screen is to the lid. I'd like to grow the next batch only 6 or 8 inches in veg, like how high that screen is in the vid, and then for flower start putting the branches through the screen. I love seeing those grows where the plants are not high at all, but those big towers of only buds are shooting up above the plant's leafy area and screen.

T a drain line in the bottom of each bucket, lead it to some place lower, maybe small hole in the wall, let gravity to the draining. Put one quality valve or tap right before the hole so you drain all with one tap.

Flood tables might work well in your situation. Less pH drift, easier access.

This would be possible. There are drains along the bottom of the basement walls, I could run a pipe from the bucket, outside the tent, and into these drains. Not sure I'd be able to get it out of the tent though, all while keeping the pipes pointed downward. The holes in the tent are a bit higher than the bottom of the buckets. I could raise the bucket onto something to make it higher to begin with, like a little stand, then the pipes would lead downward through the hole in the tent. Only problem is I'm taking potential height space away from the plant being able to grow, since the buckets are raised off the ground.

I'm looking at pictures of flood tables in hydroponics and having difficulty understanding all the variations I'm seeing. Would the roots be in the tub, both plants drinking from the same water? Or do you mean having a flood tub under the bucket, which I could empty the bucket into?

The table fills with water with a pump sitting in a reservoir underneath. A timer controls the frequency and duration of the flood. When the pump shuts off the water drains back down through it to the res again. It's a very simple system.

6 Weeks down on this grow now. Things have been going well.

Resin production is very good. I have dropped the EC of slightly to aid with the start of flushing them through, they are quite large plants for indoors.

The smell is very fruity now, backed up by a very strong classic Cannabis aroma.

Monday is the beginning of week 7 bloom, so I will keep the EC relatively low now, I will keep the PK up though as I feel they may still want to swell a little for the next week to 10 days before finishing the final week or so.

Looking rather tasty in there, I reckon your gonna be sick trimming after the first day lol. Not a bad complaint really.
Mate every time I see it I feel like I have itchy fever. Not looking forward to trimming his one at all.

do you have access on the sides of the screen to go back and maintain the plants in the middle and rear of the room?

the one thing i cannot understand with scrogs is how you are able to access the res underneath the plant (when it's filled out in the screen). i'm doing dwc this grow and would love to try a scrog next grow, but how would I raise the net pot and plant if the screen is stabilized and keeping the plant from being pushed up? I have a heck of a time now just taking the plant out of the bucket to exchange the res for a fresh bucket. can't imagine how difficult that would be holding the plant up, unable to move it around at all because of the screen, and then sliding a new res bucket in there somehow at the same time.

Get this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HE9YEM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And then a 1 1/2" holesaw and drill access hole in lid between netpot and edge-easy access for adding or draining each bucket- get 5 gal. bucket, ph & fill 1 gal. jugs with water for top offs or adding nutes.Just leave enough room under scrog to access- easy enough. And with tent, turn back buckets towards access doors. And cover holes with cardboard to prevent algae growth
