Re: N Toxicity Recovery

I have a Pink 2.0 24 days into flower. About five days ago it experienced some nitrogen toxicity; a few of the fan leaves twisted and dried up. About 60% of the leaf remains healthy, but the ends are definitely fried out...

Are these leaves a mold risk later down the line in flower? Should I excise them now from the kolas?

Please advise.

First, Yes I am new.
BUT, your plant looks pretty fine... there are much much worse problems or either the pictures aren't clear.
I would suggest Flushing with clean Ph water ( around 5.8 - 6.8 ). and of course adding lower amount of nutes in the future.
Less is more!

I have only supplemented zinc once. I thought that maybe since I was growing in soil adding zinc would be superfluous.

Don't cut.

That's not N tox.

You have a micro nutrient problem.

They look healthy. Could use a tad of Epsom salt. One teaspoon per gallon.

They look awesome to me have a bit of nute burn on tips but nothing to be alarmed about might need a tad of cal mag like white said put a teaspoon of epsom salt in a gallon of water on your next drink. Just leave them be other than that.

Dead plant material is the #1 source of mold. Spores, fungi, bacteria etc travel with the air all the time so the difference in keeping your plant clean'n'green is if said cultprits find fertile grounds there.

If your strain develops big buds but has short internodial space then oftentimes old fan leaves become entrapped between 2 such buds and that's the stuff I mostly look out after 6 weeks into flower. Here you can avoid alot of budrot.

Keeping air humidity low will slow that down.

So this is the second time I have experienced this particular symptom. What I thought was N Toxicity, some of you are thinking differently.

The first occurrence happened after I dosed, at recommended levels, silica and CalMg. I thought it was damage from the silica as CalMg is 0-0-0, the silica was 0-0-3. Same drying out and twisting at the ends. Only this Pink 2.0 is effected.

Is there a silica test? I thought with soil silica deficiency would be very rare... E.B. Naturals Ultimate Organic Potting Soil is what I mixed with a good amount of Perlite. Mistake?

I have continued to feed this week at lower levels. Testing before every feed, sorta tedious with the capsule/dropper method.

I think you need to LITFA for a week and give it some water when thirsty and see what happens your overanalyzing and trying shit is gonna hurt it worse it is a weed it can survive on its own if you let it.
