I'm a 20 year old living in Florida. I want to move to Colorado because I've heard the economy is booming, crime rates are lower than here, seasons (snow, etc.), and of-course Recreational marijuana is a HUGE +. I hate Florida, especially my area.

I'm trying to make a 2-3 year plan. I have a bit of a troubled past but I'm 6 months sober now and been out of trouble for over a year so its time to plan for the future. I just started working 2 jobs pulling in $900-1000 bi-weekly. How much do I need to save and how much do I need to be making to comfortably live in Colorado? My full time job is a company which I could transfer with, so over 2-3 years I'll be making more money and have a job right when I move.

Any areas you guys I suggest I look into? What are the living expenses like relative to the rest of the country? And I would like to note I'm not one of those people coming into your state hoping to get rich off growing weed. I just want to be able to grow for my family, my friends, and myself without being persecuted.

Sorry for the long post.

Dunno man

I lived co springs my whole life

Im 21. If i lived alone, id end up having to live in city, and rent a 500, 550- one bedroom apartment. I make about 275-350 on average weekely.

I could live comfortably, and theres no shame in getting food stamps if you qualify. Id be able to eat plenty, have like 100 or so for my monthly medical marinuana

I feed myself for about less than 20 a week

Stay away from pueblo

I hear from friends who migrated to denver- too many people, too much shit

Co springs is small enough but big enough city that has the best views, recreation and nature

holy shit that is cheap! 1 bedroom apartment in the hood over here is like 700-900..do i have to be a resident to get food stamps? i think that takes a year. how do you only spend 100 on weed? and could i grow before officially becoming a resident if i lived there?

I believe to receive many Colorado benefit ls, one must indeed live here for over a year.

Yeah man in the springs, even if u rent in the "ghetto", as long as you keep your shit to yourelf people dont really fuck with ya.

Lets take a more detailed look at my mm expenses

I smoke a garunteed 8th of shake per week, which is 10 at my store. Shake is there simply so i indeed have something to smoke in case i run out of other shit.
I put my shake in a mon thru sun pill dosage container so that i visually ensure i pace myself and not smoke everything at once

Ill spend about 80 on a half ounce total per month, be it a 20 eighth every week or so, or perhaps ill buy it at once.

Additionally, im going to be getting back into the concentrate game and thatll be 20 a gram of shatter,

So i probably spend no more than 150-200 on MMJ. MMJ is key. Recreational marijuana is very very pricy i hear, and find better quality at a dispensary

What else ya curious about? Ive seen and done and smoked pretty much everything Colorado Springs offers, more so SOCO in general.

I always imagine NOCO as city folks cuz of denver, if not, theyre college town kids. But you also have many winter recreation towns up North West.

Ok, well I guess thats why its good to have a job as soon as I get there. Yeah, I'm really not too worried if I need to live in a not as nice area. Those stores are crazy. Shatter is $50-60/gram here. Eighth is $30. Half ounce is like $120.

Is getting a card difficult? Can you get a card for being Bipolar 1 or having PTSD? I'm really more interested in growing than buying but I feel like I may have to wait a year for that.

It's not hard to get a card.

Some places dont require medical documents

I kinda got some mal alignment in some bones n shit, offered to show the 'doctor' but they were like, nah man nah....nah....we good here....

Physical injuries tend to be the main and definite approach to MMJ however I cant say if more ailments like PTSD will qualify

I cant imagine one of these offices giving you a hard time, were all cool here... just pay up like everyone else lol.

Hey man,

First of all, where do you live in Fla? Because I grew up in swfla and lived in Orlando for 5 years and I can tell you it is so much more expensive to live here.

The shatter you are getting for $60 a g is the $20g trim run from out west probably, hehe, and I know $30 an 8 fla weed is like good "mids" at best so you will get out here and be blown away by the crappy shops, not to mention the few good ones, lol.

Also yea no mental for med here. And why not just grow your own? I've got a closet full of weed that would sell for around $200 an oz here, I save like $10k a year now that would have went to weed.
