Ready to birth?

Yea, this is my first time trying this, so I don't want to screw it up, lol. The jars were knocked up on 9/14, so it's been 35 days, The bottoms are all white, but the top still has not gone white. I suspect that maybe it doesn't, since the syringe goes in an inch or so when inoculating. Anyway, here is a pic of one of my B+ jars this morning:

Thanks for looking!

How long has it been since it was completely white on the outside? It's best to let it sit for another week once the outside is completely covered with mycelium, so it has time to reach the centre( reduces stalling in fc and chance of contams)
If you have a dry vermiculite layer at the mouth of the jar(hopefully you do) the mycelium doesn't grow over/on it(it can a little)
Hope this helped
Good work and good luck

Thanks, man! Yea, it's been since last week. I have one jar that still has a bit of vermiculite showing on the bottom, but all the others have been white for a week. I figured that the mouth of the jar doesn't get mycelium covered, but was unsure. All the reading I have done says to birth when the whole jar is white with mycelium.

I'm excited for this next step, but I don't want to rush it along if it's not ready. I had 12 jars to start (6 B+ and 6 Cambodian). One jar contaminated and one didn't take. So now I have 10 jars ready to dunk :)

if it's been completely white for a week I would say you're good to go!! So far you are doing great!! 11 out of 12 is pretty good for a first timer, you are obviously taking this seriously and putting in effort.. keep up the good work!!

So all went well with the birthing. 10 cakes in a tub, dunked and rolled, sitting on moist perilite. There is an air pump pumping air in a few times per day. I'm at 76 degrees and 99% humidity. Right off the bat I got a shroom developing, but only one. So I hope all is well and I get some more, lol.

This is what it looks like. I'm a little worried that only one has developed. Been about a week since birthing. Anyone have an opinion? is it a good thing to see one right away, or might it be the ONLY one that is going to develop?

Cakes are not my forte, but they are pretty basic. You got the right idea with the air and humidity. The only thing is maybe your misting routine. Are they in an aquarium or sgfc? I can't tell. But depending on rate of evaporation, mist every 12 hours should be good.

They are in a plastic tub, with a cover. I'll start misting them every day, I guess.

This morning I see a couple more pins on that same cake, so maybe that cake is just moving faster than the others

Well here is another cake that is starting to burst with pins:

This is theCambodians. The B+'s haven't done anything yet.

I hadn't been misting because I thought that the humidity was as high as it could be, but I think my thermometer is wrong.

Update: I moved the tote to rearrange some furniture near it and the big shroom busted off the cake :(
Not sure what to do with it, and I'm wondering if I screwed up the cake itself...

pretty much whenever theres no moisture bubbles on the air dome or covering it's prbly time to mist... just going from trying to keep 95-100 humidity for mj clones. I've heard of people misting 2-4 times a day tho usually unless a humidifier is setup. in the photos it looks like you have decent humidity. I just know the moisture is key for fruits.

Yea, I'll be misting every day. There is also moist perilite on the bottom of the tub. So this morning there are a shit load of pin heads on two more Cambodian cakes. The B+ aren't doing anything and I'm concerned with those. Maybe they just naturally take longer or something. It's my first time, so at least I'll get something!

Yea, that big one was like a mutant or something. I'm drying it out now, not sure if it will be "good" since I'm sure it wasn't ready yet.

It'll be fine. As long as it exists...
