Reasons not to get a Medical Card

I just turned 18 and i am interested in getting an appointment at Medicann in order to get my medical cannabis card. Although i have no serious ailment which requires Marijuana as a treatment, I do smoke fairly regularly and do not want to have to face the harsh consequences of being caught by law enforcement. I was just wondering what the negative consequences of having this card would be such as complications with my current doctor and medical records. I am also living at home still and my parents do not approve of my cannabis use inside their home. If i become a medical patient there will be no way of them findign out correct. My health insurance and such will stillb e the same under their name correct?

My guess is that if you don't have any serious ailment that required medical cannabis, I wouldn't worry about getting the card. Too many Dr's, giving out possibly unnecessary cards could be a problem for some.

If your only reason for getting it is to do something that is illegal and you don't want to face the consequences of your actions, you don't need to be getting one.
