Recharge nutes ?

I like dirt because it doesn't need a circuit breaker and it doesn't leak all over your house when a hose breaks. ;)
I have had leakage problems, this is due to the sprayer heads. My bins would leak from the top, slow drips turn into large puddles. You need to secure the tubs/buckets whatever, and this isn't a problem.

I'm using it on my current grow, and after one dose, it seems to be really effective. The Ayahuasca Purple was always kind of droopy and sad, even at 15 days old when it should be springing out of the pot. I watered the AP with 473mls of recharge @1/2 teaspoon per gallon in it's 1/2 gallon pot, (will transplant to 5 gallon soon) and it has exploded, praying hard, and looking really healthy. That took about 36 hours. Also gave a small dose of 40mls each to my BB seedlings that are at 8 days old in beer cups; Sour Cherry, Fireballs and Plemon. Growing in Gaia Green. Looking fantastic.

Here the really weird part: Recharge doesn't sell in Canada, and doesn't ship to Canada either. I spoke to Scotty Real on the phone, and he confirmed, but told me they were trying to work through the legalities of getting across the border. I kept checking amazon.com (not amazon.ca) and one day, lo and behold, it says "This product ships to your area" I bought it immediately, and it shipped. I went back two days later, and it's no longer available.

I don't know what the hell happened, but the 16oz jar I bought will keep me rolling nicely through my next few cycles. For the time being, I'm a big fan. Provided it doesn't cause any problems down the line (and I don't see how it could), I will continue to endorse the stuff. Just lovely.

I experienced that problem from the shit soil I bought at lowes. Try this 1.5 teaspoons of epsom salt to a gallon of water, then add a nice well rounded fertilizer. Right now, I am using my the fox farms fertilizer that I never used. It has a lot of goodies in it, kelp ect. Water that plant and in a day or two you will see it stand up and sing. Epsom salt & silica work wonders for sad looking plants. With recharge, I've noticed.

I was of the opinion that is was just the genetics of the strain with the droopy look of it, as that I've germinated many times before using GG and never once saw any kind of drooping with other beans. But thanks for the advice, I've used epsom many times in the past with success. No more droop now though, the Recharge really has them booming.

Cheers

I've made cartel bag seed look amazing. Doubt it has anything to do with genetics. Could have been a Cal/Mag issue, recharge has a shit ton of dried molasses in it. That is what gives it the coco powder smell. If you haven't smelled it yet, try it. But don't taste. lol

If your soil is depleted of nutes, it will keep your plants in limbo, or starve them. If you are using shitty soil, make sure you keep feeding nutes regularly. I found out my soil was shit, cause I don't feed seedlings much nutes during that first week. Fox Farms soil spoiled me a bit.

I'm probably out to lunch on this, but it smells and (kind of) looks like chocolate milk to me. Crazy!

I heard a pod cast by the guy who makes recharge, and he said you can add it to a res, but do it the last day of the cycle before you change out the mix. That way it can bind onto the roots but it doesn't hang out long enough to screw up the res.

Well, that was his rec anyway. I grow in soil and use it along with mammoth p. I can't prove anything, but my grows are generally healthy and happy.
That guy would tell you to use recharge to wash your car if he could. That podcast sometimes give out good info but mostly it's just an infomercial for growing products. All those guys own grow stores.
Recharge is a decent product; it's just that compost does the same thing & works even better. Hard to market that though; and recharge packages nicely. Compost is heavy and pricey to ship; not as profitable.

I have used a product called ECO scraps from lowes, no nutes what so ever in that shit, and it says it is made from compost piles. What it does do is retain water too well and kill your plants(big OG plant died). Put 4 seedlings in that and none made it. Now we have a nursery in town here that makes their own blend, and I have been very curious as of late. The guy that runs the nursery is odd as hell, but he seems to really be into what he does. He is willing to load the back of my truck for $20. Which is much cheaper than say foxfarms. Think I will give it a shot, add guano, bloodmeal, green sand, earth worm castings, bananna peels and egg shells I have been saving up. Let it sit for a month or two, then plant some of the Gelato I ordered in it. I can't wait to see how this soil does. I

One thing you said stuck with me about tap water, I had given some of my gals tap water in a pinch(out the door for work) not realizing how much damage I was doing. Because I thought the dirt would act as a buffer. Just one more thing I will never do again.
Sounds like you needed better aeration. I would've added some perlite. Air is super important; more important even than water in a soil grow. That's why hydro grows plants so well; the roots get plenty of O2.
Any decent organic garden mix will work but you will probably need to add perlite. Organic soils tend to be geared for outdoor growing and so are typically kind of too heavy for indoor use. There's almost no such thing as having too much perlite. Plus it holds bacteria very well in all those tiny holes the microbes like to colonize.
It will take a few recycles before your mix is active enough to reach supernatural status. Don't put eggshells or banana peels into the soil directly it will take too long for that to break down but add all that (and then some) to a compost pile or a worm bin and once it is decomposed it can be added to your mix. Best thing you can do is start a worm bin and harvest free vermicompost for life.
Tap water is not instant death but it will make getting your mix to supernatural status more difficult if not impossible. Clean water source is essential but you do not have to use RO water. Collected water from a dehumidifier or a/c unit will work too just need to add in macros. I use dehuey water and to that I add 6-10 drops of GO cal-mag+ but if I remember to put out a bucket I collect rain whenever it pours. Rain is the best water you can use and it needs nothing added in.

You are way off base on that one. Rain water is chemical soup made up of just about everything emitted from factories, automobiles, and aircraft. It is as far from the best source of water as you can get, though it isn't terrible.

There isn't necessarily anything wrong with tap water. It depends on where the water comes from and how/if it is pretreated. My well water is 40-50 ppm and the pH is 5.9. It is much cleaner than rain water and has far fewer chemical contaminants.

You are making a lot of claims science simply doesn't agree with. A lot of good info, but you are coloring way outside the lines on some stuff.

It's true....I've been coloring outside the lines for years but I'm not making any wild claims that counter science here. I'm sure your well water is fine and tap water has its place. I'm not taking about a grow using nutrients. Tap is fine for that. But in many areas they put chloramine in the tap water which cannot be leeched off and is detrimental to microbial life. That is btw why they put it in there: to kill off pathogens. It is a main reason people think their soil is depleted when in fact it has just become inactive with microbial activity.
So what you are saying is water that falls from the sky is too dirty to use for plants. Well then i guess all the forests, grasses, lakes, oceans, and aquifers on earth that are fed by rainwater are unhealthy? Your well is not a magical spring it is an aquifer that is fed by rain at some point. Maybe in some areas it does have some pollutants and that is certainly possible.
I'm not here to debate water sources; I'm just trying to help the OP grow organic bud so they can enjoy the true flavor of the cannabis strain they choose. Believe me I wouldn't be hawking all this so much if there wasn't much difference..

Using recharge is sorta like dipping your toe in the organic pool to test it out but if you like it and want to get in the organic growers pool all the way you need to build up a mix. Just dumping microbes in the dirt will only get you so far....

I have an RO system. With my hydro grow, I only use it. It's just one less thing to eliminate if shit starts fucking up. Tastes good too, the city water is disgusting.

Ok so if you live in a nuclear waste fallout zone growing weed probly isn't your biggest problem. RO is good but wasteful and then you gotta add back macros

At least I can drink it, without worrying about flouride. I like keeping my pineal gland uncalified, lol.
Anyway, yeah RO is the safest bet here. Doubt anyone can argue that one. My brother uses his AC run off.

Just realize that ac and dehumidifier runoff can have high levels of copper and other metals. It leaches off the cooling tubes if the water is at all acidic.

It's ok to use as a rule, but get it checked if you use a lot of it. Too much copper will kill plants (it's what they put in the bottom paint of boats to kill algae and barnacles). It is a very effective herbicide, but a little is good.

Well I have been running dehuey water and collected rain for years with no detriment; the plants speak for themselves.
I always liked the berry & tangerine flavor of the BD but it's not the most potent strain Ive run. Puts you behind the eyes for sure. Purple train wreck pics are posted all over my thread; ya gotta go through it to find them. Never got it to turn purple unlike other strains that I had no idea were purple that turned purple if that makes any sense. PTW is ok but not super potent; a good daytime smoke I guess.
My fave strain continues to be strawberry sour diesel because of the flavor and consistently killer potency. Plus it turns a nice purple when temps allow. I literally drool in my bong like a fuckin St. Bernard when I get a whiff of it.
Sadly I'm about to smoke the last nuggets of blue dream i have and coincidentally I am waiting for the last strawberry sour diesel plant I had to dry out enough to jar it and then harvest the final blueberry headband plant; 2 strains I highly recommend btw. I have crossed all of these with KOS candyman haze so i will be running all new shit from here on out. Glad I could keep all these great genetics going in my garden indefinitely...
Sorry if I hijacked your thread here it's just that I started out in my own organic adventures using recharge. The idea that microbes feed your plants still fascinates me and since then I have found natural soil grows actually can save you money and hassles over the long run. I try to convert everyone who seems remotely interested so I apologize if I'm overstepping any bounds.
