The tent is 6'6" long the og takes up 1/2 its length so far
IMG_0936.JPG
The two smaller la specials

7 weeks old 3 weeks of 12/12

Its been two weeks since last update , the plants are looking happy but could be looking better. The larger og is 3 1/2 feet wide but the roots on all plants are small and underdeveloped still compared to the last set of plants.

Im hoping they root up this week 3 days ago I bought and added in GH RapidStart a root booster along with some Golden tree and Super thrive , its a kelp vitamin b supplement the golden tree is a mix of fossilized and organic material etc

The wimpy roots indicated they needed help so I gave it to them full force . The leaves perked up and the branches adjusted themselves after the treatment . They seem to have needed it and started a new growth spurt

PPM 800
PH. 5.7 to 6.2

Temp night 68* day 82*

Nutrients 65* to 68*f

Its been real easy looking after the plants with no ph adjustments and only one nutrient swap out last week since starting in the rdwc 6 weeks ago.

In closing , picked up a 6th Mars old style type panel this one labeled as a 600 it should be here next week , decided to use all mars panels this summer grow and add in the cree cobs for the winter crop.
thats it for this update.

I noticed yours are more advanced than my sour'd which is under hps my doubledream which is under my led is advancing a bit faster as well this is a pic from my led grow I'm setting up to run 2 sour'diesel clones under the led next grow & a single gg#4 in the 3x3 hopefully your 1lb. goal becomes reality I'm a ways off yet I've got a 315 cmh coming to replace the hps the sour'd is under now I cloned the doubledream as wellIMG_1704.JPGIMG_1703.JPG

They look well trained an open should be fat with Bud come harvest

I don't know much about cmh lights.
it seems to me I read they are similar to leds Par wise if my memory serves me correct.
Do they have as good penetration as HPS ?

I traded some of my last harvest for the cmh I don't know much about them except the 315 is supposed to be equivalent to 500 w. of hps so it should rock my 3x3

For ease of installation used RTV heatsink adhesive and just pressed the heatsinks in place. Its silicone yet somehow made up of 96% solids is semi permanent but can be removed with a wire or just pried off.
It probably accomplishes the same thing it appears it bonds the heat sink in place & then absorbs heat & allows it to be transferred & dissipated kinda like the cooling fins on a dirtbike engine lol

For sure it does transfer heat and the more fin the better its like a cyclone in there.
RTV 's thermal efficiency number is lower then heatsink paste
After checking rtv is from .5 to 4.0 w/m and heatsink paste is from 1.8 to 8 w/m

IMG_0984.JPG its wake n bake time . Zing
Will add plant photos tonight for now here's the mylar and tyvek curtain set up that was hung up last week.
............

The top of the buckets has a piece of the mylar foam sheet on them forming a reflective floor right under the plants. It goes from wall to wall and acts as a second higher floor..

Will add the 2 week plant update later on today. Hint - the runt has started to shine

Thhis was the runt

4 week veg / 6 weeks flower

PH 6.2 to 5.9
PPM maintained at 800 to 750
Temp 68 night 82 day
Nutrient 65 day 63 night

Swapped nutrients out at 2 weeks about 4 days ago

Using 900w in led power draw atm still have more panel to add when its needed.

The little plant in the middle did well with the root treatment mix in the last batch of nutes. It loved it the other plants showed less of a response.

The larger OQ leaves git damaged by that mox but the runt loved it so I left in the res. , Im happy its a fresh mix in the res now though so all plants can enjoy.

I"ll get on with it already stoned here

below is the OG
IMG_0992.JPG

The raised mylar floor has brightened the lower plants substantially and is helping to make the most of the wattage, The sidewalls are working well .

Plants are getting 65w sq. ft atm

Thats it for this update about all I can add is the water culture is easy to work with its a pleasure to work with literally,

Keep high/happy

Very nice bro!! If you don't mind schooling me a little, could u break down how your dwc system is setup? Please. I've been on the wall about goin dwc from soil, after seeing this, my minds made up.. just need to know what all i need to make it happen? Thanks bro.

I think a good way to go is buy a 4 bucket or bigger kit but if your up to it you can buy the specialized parts and drill and assemble it yourself.

I built this one but recommend just buying a multi bucket rdwc the costs is similar

For DIY you will need to buy heavy duty grommets / seals and the correct hole saw to drill with.
Then you buy the pipe to fit the grommet larger grommets / pipe are better to use then smaller ones.

Go no smaller then 2 inches and no bigger then 4 inches is my advice after studying on it. With 4 inches being the better choice due to its clog resistance and easy waster flow.

Its something that you will need to study up on I used 2 1/4 inch grommets that work but next build I will choose 3 or 4 inch grommets/ seals to reduce the chances of clogs. I had a little clog that flooded a few gallons of water last grow. Just remember that pipe diameter plays a big part in the systems dependability.

This is my 2nd run using water culture , its a clean easy system to operate I don't fuss with PH and leave it to drift as it wants from 6.3 to 5.5 it usually hangs around 6 on its own good enough no fuss and it works.

You must give it a try

Built it to suit your own taste but here is the basic requirements

The system Im using is not ideal its a junior kit really 5 gal buckets a 20 gal res 1-1/4 I.D pipe. Its nothing to write home about.

Buckets or solid totes etc to grow in plus one to mix nutes and extent system volume with

Rigid schedule 40 white poly pipe its normally used for irrigation and is thick wall that's what schedule 40 means.

Grommets to fit

A water pump to pump from the res to the buckets and a big ass air pump 60 Lpm or more and 15 or 20 air stones for it.

Then your ready to add 6 inch net pot lids and hydroton gravel

Drill the grommet holes 6 inches below the top of the buckets is my advice.
Buy good equipment good air pumps water pumps and grommets / pipe and success is more likely.
