shits easy, but whats not easy.....is being able to supply every needed resource to that size demand.
its quality, not quantity.
when you dry that giant bud you'll likely trim all of the buds off of the middle thumb size stick, making ping pong size buds after all.

Genetics is 90% if not more. I had 4 outdoor plants 4 different strains, all fed the same, pretty much exact same conditions, and only one produced football size colas.
The smoke was ok but the ones that produced the smaller colas were way danker.
Pure power plants (ppp), big bud, and new York city diesel are a couple of big bud producers to name a few.
But just like human women, bigger isn't always better.

Very true, even my biggest colas I chop up into actually big sizes because mold is easy to set into those bigger bugs while drying

but then if a grower had the same genetics, shitty lights and bad watering habits that he didnt even recognize maybe, th egrower might report that his awesome genetics actually yield very low, or one strain was able to survive and thrive despite the abuse, and the grower might say that strain yields the most. its all subjective. I can veg any genetics for longer veg time and train them for giant buds if thats what I wanted. must not be 90% genetics, but a combo of environment and genetics maybe?

the very best genetics could fail in the slightest subpar control, like too much heat, too much humidity, too much watering, too much fertilizer, etc....(that grower might say those great genetics actually suck right? because thats their experience.

peace
