I recently reveged a plant worked out great. I left Barely anything on the plant a couple Larfy bottom bits and probably about 6 weeks later I had clonable growth. it happens way quicker than I thought it would

Here is a few shots during the process.

I cut most of the plant off when I harvested then put it under 24/0 lighting and that was it. I don think I fed it. I think I just watered when needed maybe I fed but not much don't remember but if go easy if you feed... veg nutes

Everyone has been more than helpful! Thanks for all the advice and personal experience. Really dig the community here! Thanks again everyone, I'll update you with results or lack there of. Also, who has good cuts in the Sacramento area? I am a prop 215 patient.

I've got a cookies strain t
hat was given to me, all of his cuts where entrusted to me. I was unaware that I was the SOLE keeper of this particular PHENO. And its a BAD bitch! I am kicking myself for not planning ahead, but had a lot going on. Enough rambling.

1) Are you able to take a tissue culture from a flowering plant? Does it grow into a veg state or how does that work? What are my options with that or are there any? Any links to good info on tissue cultires?

2) Revegging, whta is your experience. Any tipes or ideas would be awesome. Where do I cut? How many nodes do I try to leave? leave buds? Leave? Long or short? What about the roots? Your success stories would be great.

3) Is there any other ideas on how to preserve these gentics? there on day 59 and probably going to come down in the next 2 weeks.

Here are some pics of one of the ladies, luckily I have more than 1 to try on. Fingers crossed it works. She purpled by herself they all did. And I've yet to come across a strain that purples so easily and pretty.

Any advice on where to cut based on those pics?

Thanks in advance.
Revegging is the simplest and most cost effect method over tissue culture. I don't trim off any buds, and definitely do not take off any fan leaves. All I do is chop off all the top colas and leave all the popcorns/lower growth/fan leaves attached. Throw it back under 16/8, 18/4 or 24 (whatever light cycle you prefer) and 1 - 1.5 month later, you,ll have enough branches to clone from. I finally killed my mother plant last year, after 4 cycles of revegging. After the 3rd cycle, she became root bound as shit but each cycle seems the yield is slightly heavier than the cycle before it. Reintroduce some nitrogen but start light then adjust as neccessary. Don't over do the watering, especially with the cold temps coming in - you don't want to cause any damping off and end up killing your plant. If anything, i prefer revegging or taking cuts after harvest. Every bud you leave on will put out at least 5-10 branches, depending. This means 5-10 tops/bud sites from the get-go. Like training, topping, fimming, etc. some strain responds better and faster than others. Years ago, i had a Mekong Haze that took 3 months to revert back. In my experience true sativa and a lot of sativa dominate strain takes longer to reveg. Good luck.

i have cloned actual lower buds . plants where 7 weeks in on an 8 week cycle. they take a long time to root and only about half of the cuttings rooted. after they root many shoots will appear with single leaves that dont even look like weed. the plants will grow out of this mutation but it takes a while

One of my MKage clones (3rd run) ^^
If taking it indoors, you can dig out the roots from outside ,but you'll need to gradually let plant get used to warm conditions when transferring indoors. Plus if you manage to re-veg or take cuttings successfully don't be afraid to cut your roots (on mum-plant) if you need to. Are you doing a s.o.g. with cuttings? A small update as to what you decide/d to do or have done would be cool. Happy growing

Yeah I've rooted cuttings from plants in late bloom too. Takes a very long time for them to start growing little thin shoots out of the buds but eventually they do. Buds do tend to mold in a humidity dome though so you sometimes have to pick off the moldy parts when rooting.
