Nope..Im planning on doing a SOG grow..roughly 2 plants per square feet..vegged for 5 days..then flowered for 60...Im thinking now of just getting a 400W digital Galaxy, but how do I cool it?Can anyone break it down for me??Or can I get away with NOT cooling it,just pointing one or two fans directly at the bulb??!

It took a week to ship, the light came well packaged although one of the bulbs (i ordered extra 3000k bloom bulbs) came shattered, but i emailed them and it wasnt a problem for them to ship out another

I use a 400 watt HPS system for flowering and all I use is an 18" oscillating fan that blows between the plants and the light. Works great for me, but I am growing in an open room and not an enclosure or closet.

I veg with the 150w HPS that you just linked. It helps out a ton, but I kinda wish the light was more evenly spread out like the T5. Now I wanna get the T5 lol.

I know, that T-5 is seriously catchin my eye..all those lumens for a sleek and compact T-5 system..plus the lights spread evenly so you can place the plants a few inches under it...Little Tommy:Does the light get very hot, lets say I was growing in a closet,do you think I can get by with just pointing a fan at em'??

Walked On The Moon:What part of the US you live in??East,West,North,South,SouthEast,etc..If you can Pm me your state so I can compare how fast it will come to me...Did the light come brand-new??Is it high quality?

The light is high quality in my opinion... it didnt cross the country coast to coast but it did north to south, it came in exactly a week from shipping including a weekend. The reflective part is a plastic it seems but the entire fixture is really solid, its nice and bright and it was extremely easy to hang. In my opinion if you have a spot to hang a light and u are using CFLs its dumb to try and provide this type of canopy light to your plants with spirals, its so much better

May I ask what exactly does the light include..does it include chains,hangers,etc..power cords..yada yada yada....much thanks man, this will be the first thing I buy,as Ill use it to veg the seedlings..Ill worry about the HPS later on in life!!How fast would you say the lights grow udner it when vegging?I know this is up to the strain and grower methods..but do YOUR plants grow fast under it??Is the internode lenght tight, spaced apart??All info on this T-5 fixture is really appreciated man!!\

PS:I plan on hanging this up in a home-made growing chamber(Rubbermaid, carton box,etc...Im pretty creative!!)and then vegging the plants in a hand-watered coir medium...also how close do you put your lights to the plants??Does it get hot?

maybe these pics will give you an idea... it comes with a nice heavy duty power cord, small metal hangers (it looks like a V, goes into the light and you are left with a loop at the top, i used S hooks to hook to it and underneath my table.

edit: 2 different strains shown there. I fit about 6 of those underneath it and get very good coverage for it

I have the other 150 watt HPS setup that HTG offers (the one with the ballast separted from the fixture). I haven't grown with it yet, but I've plugged it in and tested it - it's a great setup. Their customer service is tremendous, and it was shipped to me in 4 days. The box was very sturdy and everything arrived pristine.

I think this entire thread may be spammm...lol. Same person w/ different username maybe...lol

I agree HTG supply is good and their products are quality, but is this necessaiy? I used them for most of what is in my cab... Only thing about HTG i am unsure about is the cooltubes, you may be able to help. I see in the ads the cooltubes have the white cords protruding from the bottom where as the new cooltube models have black cords that come out the top to decrease air resistance. Is the picture just old? Do you send out the new model? I didnt want to risk it because i thought that is why they were cheaper on HTG than anywhere else.

As far as the t5s HTG carries i wish they would carry more 8 bulb 2' t5 fixtures like the sunsystem one. The ones they carry are nice but many people have the 2ft deep cabinets(measured from outside) and 24" wide will not fit in them because of doors and outer wall thickness. The sun system fits nicely as it is only 21.5 inches deep...

I also think that it would be nice if hydro supply companies sold the rubbermaid dwc containers lightproofed. I would think it would be litlle cost on their end if they had a good method. I understand shipping may be a little expensive but maybe they could pack other items ordered in the dwc res as well before boxing it. It would also add additional shipping protection. I would definitely pay double or tripple markup for one of these. they are a pain to lightproof and depending on the method can look like shit.

By the way..love the digital greenhouse electronic ballast I have always had rf interference w/ other more expensive digital ballasts. Not this one. It is quite and cool too.

I'm not trying to be an HTG shill, he asked for a picture and some info. I'm not saying this is the nicest light ever, it does the trick in my circumstances and thats what gets me excited about it. But alas, i was just trying to be helpful
