Rice Curing...?

I heard someone say that if you accidently dropped something in water that shouldnt get wet, to put it in a container filled with rice to remove all the moisture, which makes sense.

i was thinking.... perhaps curing your weed in a container of rice would work? (as long as you dont get rice in your bud!)

Grand idea.

I've thought about purchasing, or saving, the desiccant packs outta shit...

and using that to dry bud,

but damn rice could work!

you might want to do it the other way, put your buds in, put a screen on top then put the rice on because if trichs fall of then you can get them from the bottom of the jar where as if you put a screen they will fall through the screen and get lost in the rice. Maybe it would only be a minimal amount so you way would probably work but its somthing to consider.

I agree. Try it with a small amout first. Also you could wrap the rice in paper towel.:peace:

you could use this stuff called Damp Rid, my dad uses it on his boat in the cabin and a week later it will have like a cup or two of water out of the air... or the refill kind could be used like the rice and would most likely be better too.

beat me to it lol, ive also been thinking would baking soda do anything? im thinking it would be more hassle than its worth unless you are drying/curing a large amount and can just have a container open in the area and even then...would it help? why do people put it in the fridge?

yeah i definatly wouldnt let the buds touch the rice, or in a any position where rice could get in, or trichs could be lost. might be worth a try though!
also i prrrrobably would avoid those chemical dry things... my grandparents use them for their trailer and i really wouldnt fuck with them. seriosly toxic stuff i wouldnt want it anywhere near my bud! :)
peace

here in Hawaii where it is usually 70-88% humidity we put about 15 grains of rice in our saltshakers to loosen it. I know it would work in bud. great idea, thanks
