Thanks dude! That drawing is taking longer than I thought, but it is still fun to work on.
I AM a Star Wars fan as well (mostly the original movies and Knights of the Old Republic), I will have to include some characters in a drawing sometime. :)

very cool! that drawing is smashing! wow, its so action packed:-P.

The Waxmaid Silicone dab rig is so rad. Thanks for posting that video. bongsmilie

Very awesome how it snaps apart, has a perc and that hit he took was massive. Works real well!:leaf:
i will be getting one once in the future.

I sold my glass bong and am expecting another black silicone snap apart bong in the mail. That will be three silicone bongs for me now. bongsmilie
The silicone bongs hit really nice, he is right, its a different kind of chug and pull ,kinda not has hard to pull a hit. Gets better flavor off the herb then my glass ever did. Real happy with the silicone so far. Took my lil roll-eh bowl glow in the dark portable one out all weekend hiking and to the beach, and it was so nice and easy and fast. Just need to upgrade to a better lighter.
    Hope your doing well pal:razz:
Looking forward to seeing the finished drawing. :weed:

An update on the larger drawing and recent sketches. Also started sketching the next larger one, its gonna be a robot in front of a computer, puking on himself while the devil holds him from behind and breathes in his face.

    hehe :)
No, I will have to check out that doc, just added to my netflix watch list, thanks!
Here are some sketches over the last few days, fixing the linework on the large one is taking forever. The first is a quick sketch of my robot and devil. The next sketch is based on an IG artist called the witch finder general, the last is inspired by Ed Repka's artwork, check out his mars attacks stuff, you will like it, he did some of the Death album covers. :) I'm going to finish these 2 with backgrounds :)

I love how you sketched that empty bookcase . I enjoy your progress shots so much. I look forward to seeing the bookcase fill up with cool things!(:

So is that a 'no' on the commission to replace my current Yoda avatar with a custom piece?

LOL, its not a "no", but I'm not sure you'd be into what I come up with, I suck at drawing friendly characters. :( It always ends up creepy or weird.

I tried ink again last night for the first time in months. It is a ballpoint pen, .25mm, with gel ink.

DAT, if you ever want to try ink, I highly recommend this. It is much easier to control than the micron and isograph pens I was using before. Awesome for sketching. I am going to re-draw the one with the bookcase, glad you liked the sketch.

As a left handed writer, I'm a huge fan of gel ink because it dries quickly enough that my hand doesn't smear it. Fewer stains on my hand as well! In addition, many pens do not tolerate being pushed across the paper by a leftie, creating all kinds of problems. Ballpoints go a long way towards solving this problem.

As far as the commission goes, I like your style. I'm going through a dark time in my life right now and so a darker Yoda has its attractions. But not a pussy. He's gotta be a fighter!

Thanks dude, using regular pens is OK, but ballpoint feels much more natural, especially for crosshatching, it's a lot faster to shade. I've never used gel ink prior to this, still getting used to it.
I have been meaning to try this type of ink along with colored pencils, so I might try this in a few days on a Yoda drawing. I think it will look cool with some color.

Shading progress on alien & an ink sketch to try drawing fur with ballpoint pen.

Wow that pen is FATASTIC! It looks like that medium really suits you so perfectly! What is the name of that gel pen? So you do pencil outline first?and then ink, correct?

Really nailed that fur! Nicely put down !

Sorry to hear your not feeling well @ttystikk . I hope the dark cloud blows away soon. Is yoda a gremlin? I can totally see Robot doing such a cool weird and wild yoda. I imagine something like these most awesome gremlins.

I'm physically fine. I've been charged with multiple felonies for the victimless non-crime of growing Cannabis in a rec legal state. Hence my feeling the need to fight back against the evil Empire!

Thanks, and yeah I had to do the pencil drawing and erase lightly before inking. Sometimes the graphite gets in the way.
I love the gremlins movies! :) Good references, thanks!

I am using something called Super Pineapple. I couldn't find info online, it smells a bit like pineapple, but really more like mango to me, very tropical, its incredible. The high is fucking awesome, feeling focused and energetic.
Have been listening to some old industrial a lot lately: Front Line Assembly, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Godflesh, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, etc.

Damn, sorry to hear that ttystikk, that is fucked up, hope it gets sorted out.

Last night I was showing some people how I draw skulls, so I got to try the red colored pencil. I got a little carried away and smudged some ink, still learning.
    IMG_20170324_221252.jpg

And tonight I wanted to experiment with blending colors before I mess up on something better, so I made a quick little mars attacks inspired skull.
    IMG_20170324_220302.jpg

DAT, these are the pens and colored pencils I am using. The pen IS amazing! Its all about being able to control the line weight with pressure and the angle at which you hold these. You should try it. I'm not sure this ink is the best, but I am still researching it. If you get them, be careful of moisture. Even the slightest drop will make the ink start to bleed and discolor the paper.
The Pentel Hybrid Technica gel pens are supposed to be better than these, but I have yet to try those, already ordered some. You might be able to find those at art supply stores locally, they have a .3mm size :)

These colored pencils are great as well, first time using the verithin, have not used colored pencils in a VERY long time.

Sorry to hear that ttystickk. I feel bad for you . no one should go to jail for a plant.
Thanks for letting me know about the pens Robot. I will like to try my hand at them .the super pineapple sounds really nice! U get some fire . You seem a real natural with color. Mars attack is a fav of mine! I just bought spaceballs. I found it in the $2 bin at Walmart. Was lookin for Gremlins 2 . Take care and have a lovely weekend my friends!

Spaceballs is a fun movie. Do you like Rick Moranis? He is one of my all time favorite actors!!! I wish he would return to acting.
Thanks, I am still trying a few things with this pen/colored pencil combo. Did you ever play doom? I'm drawing some video game stuff, its fun adding color to them. I'm practicing using references, symmetry, working on ink linework and shading, and color blending, and different types of paper, seeing what works best. Learning a little with each drawing.
Here's a little demon I did with ballpoint pen and color pencils. Thanks for hanging in there while I figure this out.

Rick Moranis has integrity. i think he is wonderful! Sounds like he hasn't been impressed with any movie scripts that have been offered to him. I respect that he turns down a lot of work that he doesn't move him. So many actors these days, who are talented, are doing such shitty movies it just blows my mind. Its hard to have any respect for them when they do such terrible movies.

that last pencil/pen monster drawing you posted is great! its very slick and professional looking. Tight and well executed. :clap:I would love to see a large planned out action drawing in that style. You are inspiring me to bust out my prismacolor pencils.

No, I never played doom. I haven't ever really gotten into computer games , maybe i should. :D
Have you seen the movie "What We Do In The Shadows" ?
Its is hysterical. You have to see it. Keep up the very cool work!

Thanks you guys, that movie looks awesome, right up my alley :) Do you guys like This is Spinal Tap?
I'm posting a few more here. You should play doom, I played it a lot when I was little. Here's more monsters from it that I drew for practice. I used my old prismacolors for flames.
Also, if I have to leave, please don't be alarmed, I'm having some issues myself at the moment. Thanks for your patience, you people are super nice.
