Has anyone tried and or had any luck using rockwool cubes cut to fit aerogarden seed pods? I'm had problems with seeds not sprouting in aerogarden after germinating with paper towel method. Im thinking trying rockwool in my aerogarden extra led if this next batch of germinated seeds rot also.

When I used the Aerogarden, I stopped using the paper towel route and just put the seed in the pod. They always germinated. Rockwool would probably work.

I tried the rock wool I cut it to fit the plastic pods and it worked great I think I'll be using this method from now on.

Works great so far. Do you use the labels also or leave it open as in picture. I like the fact that rock wool doesn't fall apart like the grow sponges when you poke the hole through the bottom.

What do you mean by going in the fridge? If you don't mind me asking.

And also do you presoak rock wool before planting? I soaked mine overnight in a mixture of thrive alive b-1 red and root 66 by Technaflora since I use recipe for success nutes.

Check my sig.
I grow in a custom fridge w/ Hydro.
I only soak the RW in tap water that has stood a while to evap off the chlorine.
The seedlings do not need any nutes for a few days as the seed supplies that.
I will cover the top of the tiny net pot with aluminum foil with a slit to keep the light from starting mold/mildew/algae in the RW.

Good idea I might have to try that
