Rockwool in Soil

Hey there is a clone in a rockwool cube thats buried in hydroton thats vegging but is it possible to flower in soil by taking the rockwool cube out of the hydroton and putting it in the soil. Would that work?

it should work. i might try some soil this summer. i still have 5 gal buckets mixed and ready for plants. i was going to try soil when i first started, but the speed of hydro seemed easier in the long run with a SOG grow. biggest problem i think will be the plant adjusting to the higher ph. hydro usually run between 5.5 and 5.9. soil is around 7 i believe. may have to flower an extra week but it should be ok. are you thinking about an outdoor grow on the side? thats probably what i'll be up too.. haha

Yeah i move 1.5" rockwool starter cubes into soil with no problems at all. Still wanna try cloning in jiffy pete pods but the rockwool works so well it's hard to put it down.

how big of cubes? small cubes would work. if you were to use a large cube, you could have a problem of overwatering. The soil will try out much faster than the rockwool. Roots that have grown past the rockwool and into the soil will need water and potentially dry out while the higher ones get overwatered because they're in the still soaked rockwool.

Hey there small cubes about 2 in. so there about 3 clones from the mother that were put in the cubes which are in hydroton in a ebb and flow but theres no room for a hydro flowering space so after the clones are well rooted I wanted to put them under 150w hps, but in soil pots. But since theres no way to separate the rooted clone from the rockwool. The rockwool would have to go in the soil to. As for the outside, grow F**k that lol i would love to but..gotta stay low profile . So anyways by the replies it shouldn't be to much of a problem right?
