when I first built this new room, I had 3 4x4 tables , DW... then I seen with a little tweaking I could add another table . If I lost the pumps n res’ etc , having to hand water sucks , but adding 33% more yeild makes up for it .

Those pots look like they are made for croutons lol

I really want to try them too but i dont want to add to grow cost anymore i wana make it cheap and efficient lol
I’m always dumping $$$ into this, I have some not so “the most realistic goals” I want to hit . I think it can be done if everything was perfect, but perfect is not easy and lots of trail n error .
I just made a new veg room and it needs another light. It never ends .

What do you think of the Gavita 750 with 2 315cmh on each side of it , For vegging ?
Probably kill it

Im going for the gavita and strip leds for winter
And full leds for summer

But i thought about those 315s as well

But the one 750 has no pro lem wadming up a 8x8 to unacceptable levels.....but thats why i like the gavita with the lighting controller it has a temperature auto dim if it gets to hot.

Like when you forget to turn on a fan after you shut it off for pics lol

Anyways thats why im looking at leds just for hopefull heat savings but i know a watt is a watt
And it all makes heat

If going de can go wrong with 750s
Can dim down to 400w and up to 850

Best of all the worlds lol

AND for stretching it in almost an 8x8 its doing not half bad .... i know i can get more with more light but i also like to push limits and peeps said i couldnt hit 4 lbs with it and i want to see if i can haha

Your running one 750 in a 8x8 ?

Haha yea im not a noob either just getting a baseline for the lights prefomance when streched THIN lol

Canopy size is about 7.5x6ish lol

Have you seen my journal? Nothing impressive this run but i switched to a new nutrient so getting everything dialed in

I will make one more run with just this light when im being more on point to get some good baseline numbers

Haha...no shit
I wish I knew in the beginning what I know now. I've started getting rid of some lights and crap I should never have bought. I'm starting to hone in on my ideal setup.

I’m sure I looked in there, but didn’t notice the 1 light . You don’t happen to have Xmas over 7 nights do you? Lol.
If you can get to your goal with that , then all the power to ya, I’d probably have 4000w in there lol.

My new veg is 4x8 ID
I have 315cmh x 2 in there , and they just really start lacking anything more then 3x3
2 will do the job , but I like to push it .
Right, I put 2 - 315's in a 5x5. Awkward footprint for them, but I though of filling in the gaps with 4 cobs (200w), but I'd probable be able to dim it down. I'd like to cap it at 750w.

I'd think you could do like a 6 COB, 300w, with two cobs in between each light. They're not exactly cheap though...I thought I'd just get ones not mounted on a frame to cut cost and be able to place em individually.

I’m still not on board with LEDs
The tech is advancing so fast, and with the price, I’m going to wait it out a few more yrs and see what comes out .
Not saying there not good, just not for me just yet.

I designed the room to hold 4;)

But i want to knlw what one will do all by its lonesome ......plus after running one i think 2 would be my max as they are powerful lol

4 would require dedicated ac which is somthing i dont want

Heres the good half of the room lol

About halfway done

Again this grow is NOT my best work lol

Also remember single light source up high in the middle of the room :)

But i want to know its max output before i add additional lighting so i know how much it improved it ...hope that makes sense

Gram per watt your probably way ahead of me .
If you put 4 in there you’d need a ac for sure .
My room is about 15.5x6 but I need a walkway so 15x4 . I got 4 sf less then you.
With 4 1000s

If you added more light you could have a deeper canopy tho.

True but since most lights dont penetrate well after 2.5 feet i try to make that my max cabopy height...

And since ive never worked with the strain before im winging it lol

Yes i end up fucking my self everytime cause i end up putting plants in my walk way....but i have the same thoughts as you . Where i tell my self the hassle is worth the extra yeilds. :)

When i picked my light i wasnt hip to all the led diy stuff

I just figured for 500 i vould get a light that i know will work .

Instead of dumping more into an led system and not knowing if it would work for me cause i use the heat in the winter time..

But now having seen excellent results with led im definitely interested
And after one more run with the single to get a more accurate base line if numbers

I will add either another gavita or leds or another gavita and leds lol

Basically i want t see how much i can max stuff without running ac and chillers
