Any experts with rosin here?

Been running my press and cant figure out why some presses I get slippery oil that is impossible to extract off the parchment and sometimes I get that hard shatter type and sometimes its waxy.

Ive tried different temps. I press around 190-210F. It happens regardless or time, pressure, temps, material.

I've made rosin a few times. Seems to be strain dependent on what results you get. 501st og hardly returned anything for me, I thought something was wrong with the hair straightener I was using. Turns out it was fine. Try a strain that is known to return rosin.

runny usually means to wet, waxy means temps to low or bud to dry. for runny, put parchment on top of a frozen surface to collect, then let sit out and dry overnight.

The weird part is I ran a gallon bag full of trim and some presses were waxy and others were oily.

Ill leave it out to dry. I have it currently in my freezer. I collected the waxy parts and have oily parts still to collect. So thats weird that different areas of a single press turn our waxy and others turn out oily.

get a laser temp reader and check your plates, Make sure they are evenly heating up. also, trim doesn't press so well, keif the trim and press the keif for best results
