Hi guys

So I'm growing three plants that are currently in 2-3 week of flower.

I'm growing them in a mix of cocopeat, vermiculite and Perlite and feeding with General Hydroponics 3 part nutrients

Feed them every 2-3 days, basically whenever the pot feels light.

Decided to check some PPM/PH readings and noticed that : -

1 - PPM of nutrient solution going in: - 900 PPM
PPM of nutrient solution run off : - 350-400 PPM

2 - PH of Nutrient solution going in : - PH 6
PH of Nutrient solution run off : - PH 7-7.1

Till now I have not had to check these readings because my plants looked healthy without any symptoms of deficiency. But today I noticed in two of my plants the lower leaves were starting to lose color, and some leaf tips becoming brown, drying, and pointing upwards.

After reading through a lot of problem guides, I figured the symptoms indicate a possible Mag deficiency so I fed them today with an added dose of some Advance Nutrients Cali-Magic for mag supplement.

Am I on the right track?

Is it okay to water every 2-3 days or should I be watering more frequently?

Is it okay for the PPM of run off to come down 350-400 from 850-900 going in?

What about the PH of runoff coming out higher than going in?

Can someone with experience guide me a little on this?

Thanks a bunch!

My thing is to not worry much if at all about the runoff ph, but reading the runoff ppm is very useful. I dunno why some people don't think it is, especially in inert mediums like coco.

Ppm coming out lower means you need to up the ppm's going in.
I work my way up to 1.7-1.8EC. Works everytime.

if those signs are just the bottom part of the plant. I wouldn't worry too much about it. They don't get enough light could cause that. focus on the new growth.

If you see them gradually turning like that up towards the plant that is when you need to adjust the nutrient regiment. One or 2 leaves on the bottom part won't do anything.

Happy Growing!
