salami and cigarettes

I get a horrible aftertaste when I smoke after eating salami. Haha insert gay joke here...
Its not just on the tongue but like the whole back of mouth area. its thick and gross. Its the only food that does that to me. I was thinking some kind of nitrite thing but Pepperoni and hot dogs doesnt do it.
i looked around the interwebs but I think I may be the only one with this issue...

I used to drink colloidal silver and it would make smoke taste funny for a few hours after. I was told that the silver was cleaning my mouth and taste buds which revealed the true taste of the toxins in the smoke. Bullshit of course, but I never did figure out what was going on. I get a very similar but far more subtle taste when I smoke after using mouthwash.

Only if it's ill prepared. If you crush silver into a fine powder and put it in water you may turn blue if you drink too much. If you use electric current to get the silver to slough off at the molecular level your fine. Even after I gave it up I used to sell it to my friends parents who are Seventh Day Adventists for $10/gallon. They would drink a glass everyday and never turned blue. Eventually it became a pain and I just taught them how to build their own generator.

It's the sulfides. They coat the taste receptors in a weird way.
