San Pedro/ Peruvian Torch Preparation

I am looking to refine my method of preparing my San Pedro, and Peruvian Torch. I have seen some methods online. I am curious if making the powder or the juice is more effective? What parts of the plant do I actually need to prepare? For how long? How long can it be stored? Any links to useful info would be great. The extent of my research was a reddit post, and some youtube videos. Nothing has been all that helpful. Anything would be great! Thank you all.

Im tripping balls on an obscenely high dose but when I sober up i have the answer for you and really want to help just it hurts to make my fingers type what my brain thinks lol

Give me a couple hours I have all the steps you need from a few experiences myself

Ok. You say you want to refine your tek? How do you do it now?
For me after getting my cut ready (12" or more) I do the following:
Use pliers to remove spines or scissors work too

Put down plastic or something before cutting into the cactus. They are like 90% water (exaggerating but they are incredibly wet and bleed profusely and the cactus juice is really sticky) keep this in mind for how much prep you actually do (chopping them)
Your cactus is star shaped. In the valley (the indent) cut a vertical line from top to bottom. Do this in all of them (4-6 maybe 7) then peel off the pieces it will come off in a really nice strip. Discard the core. If you have a massive excess of white (not off white or slightly green but white just like the center of the core) you can cut that too.

Next peel off the thin waxy outer layer. If you peel off any green flesh cut it off and save it. If it gets to be too tedious or hard you can skip this. If you do skip it take some anti nausea pills like dramamine.

Chop coarsely.

Almost done here is the hardest part!
Get a crock pot. Put your pieces in it fill with water and little acid (citrus acid from limes or vinegar ascorbic acid from apples anything really) like 1/2 cup acid and 1-2 qt water. Put in crock pot. Set on low or medium. Leave for at least 6 hours (my personal preference is 18+ hours usually I do 24 hours)

After this crock pot time

Take off and put in a pot on stove. Leave uncovered and cook on medium (a slow boil nothing too hard mescaline gets destroyed at 350+/- degrees and water boils at 212... But mescaline can be damaged by heat keep that in mind)

At this point you are trying to remove the water and keep the mescaline. Mescaline tastes terrible. Imagine the worst taste multiply by 100000 and you might be halfway there (not an exaggeration had lots of people confirm and also out of 70+ drugs I have ingested its the worst tasting)

You wanna get a shot maybe less of it. So boil boil boil


You got your shot... Scrape the pan. Mescaline is sticky and any oily residue is gonna be active. Add that. Get a chaser.

Enjoy. Mescaline is by far my favorite of all time

Dry, powder.

Dissolve in acetone, filter out any solids, evap, dissolve into 100ml ph 3-5 distilled water using citric acid. Filter again.

Add 50ml naphtha. Stir plate for 10 minutes. Using a seperatory funnel, discard the naphtha on top.

When there is no naphtha,
Add 1-5ml of ammonia (nonsudsing, check by shaking jug), stir. Ph should be 9-10.

Add 50ml toluene (Sherwin Williams) and stir plate for 15-20 minutes. Discard water layer using a seperatory funnel but reapply more toluene and stir again to absorb more alkaloids.

Discard water once again and save all the toluene extracts. Evap them.

Should yield white crystalline alkaloids including mescaline.

Will produce no nausea if done correctly.

Edit, a vacuum purge is necessary imo for a medicinal quality

How broad of a spectrum does that pull? I hate extracts because it always takes some of the magic away

That is a good question actually. And, I don't have the answer. I believe it is a most every alkaloid but some of the enjoyment isn't the alkaloids at all. Where the stomach discomfort improves the visual effects of the trip.

Depends on what you like, just extracting the dirty sanchez provides you with a very stable journey.
Drinking tea or eating dried "bark" has waves of rushing and then the opposite.
