Good thing this thread is still online. my notes read as if they’re written by some stoner bongsmilie

Popping some seeds I created throughout this thread, including P-F1 (created 8 years ago, chunk x ch) and P-F4, and silver haze x red pck and panama x sh. Pretty nice how easy (half within 48 hours) P-F1 still pops. I had a few small single bud ones in my garden this summer and miss the strong piney taste and smell from my fingers

In my fridge for years

Just doing a small grow in a small closet. roughly same as a few closets ago, 2x4 feet. Got some perlite, saving up milk jugs, and will hopefully remember how to connect my led. Not sure if I’ll grow or even sex all 4. Popping 40 or so, will keep 6-12 females.

Good to see you growing, I am just finishing my first run under new led lights. Gpw is looking good but it was more of a grow to cross a few strains and get seeds for later. I crossed a THSeeds bubble gum and a Spliff blueberry a few years back, call it my blue gum. Anyways used that to cross with a good old northern lights, a chronic, and a BCBD blueberry. I’ll probably finish in a few weeks.then I’ll pop some seeds next fall, gotta stop for a wile as electric bills are sky rocketing.

Thanks, nice to have some plants indoor again, been way too long. Had a bit of a slow start but we’re off, miss my t8 lights which aside from the uniform lighting took care of raising temperature enough in my little veg closet. Using leds now which produce more light but don’t do much for raising temps in larger closet this time of year. Still some tweaking to do and temps will be easier to manage once more lights go in. I also used to root them longer in dwc or larger cubes, which is a must in perlite. I can tell I’m a little rusty and out of my routine but just need 6 females out of these 24 so can lose a few while I dial it in.

P-F1 and F4 in the back, 12x Panama x SH in the front. Aside from a couple that had a rough transplant day the PanxSH start out very uniform.

Right now I'm using 3x17watt 4000k leds (2500lum each) + 1 x 18watt t8. Didn't get these for growing specifically but same total wattage as my previous t8 veg box but ~50% more light so figured I give them a try.

My flower led is a little low on blue, so I'll probably keep the 51watt 4000k as supplemental, at least during veg. Basically to avoid using 400watt hpi (which I and plants love for veg).

I still need to literally dust it off and don't even remember specs from top of my head (little over 300 watt), honestly no idea it'll start up, haven't used it in 5 years.

If not, I'll have to get new leds cause electricity rates skyrocketing here too. Still worth it but already using more electricity to cut down on natural gas use (rates up to 20x than what it was...).

And thanks for asking, just read in that thread I already had panama x silver haze... my memory sure isn't what it used to be.

After a bit of a rough start, added a t8 to raise temp just a little, they're looking up. Only one with purple left

Now where did I put the remote…….. …. ….. should have built in a regular on/off switch…. ffs 2 hours later:

Half of me was hoping it wouldn’t start and I could ditch it and reuse the driver.

Ambient and humidity sensor m.i.a., got separate meter for that anyway. Most importantly, temp sensor per cob still works, so adaptive fan speed and auto shutdown if needed.

Also dusted off more t8 to make the seedlings a little more comfortable, covered perlite and got new A&B nutes.

Don’t you just love cleaning off lights after no use? Looking good ,, every time I restart after a wile I feel like I’m starting all over, we’ve come a long way from the magnetic HID ballasts. Although I still have my first ballast from 1989, still works but talk about dusty!

I have a few of those lying around too gathering dust. Not as old but still work fine and keeping them as backup.

If they were fem I’d probably flip all 25 soon and grow single colas. Instead, I‘ll be bending them over, wait for sex to show and move females to 2liter containers.

Thanks for asking, it’s goin well I had to dial in my nutrients in the veg stage, not sure how changing lights effects the growth. I am in the 4 th week of bloom now I’ll get you some pics. I have seedsman northern lights, and female seeds nl x chronic. I don’t think any of these are going to be a favorite strain or anything. Next year I’ll pop some of my own crosses and a TH seeds bubble gum s1 I made that I really like.

I still buy Northern Light occasionally, not the strongest or most tasty stuff out there but still a good one to not get completely stoned or haze-high. Smoked tons of it decades ago and sold tons more. At least till white widow and Jack Herer arrived. I’ve also been smoking white chronic lately, a mix between white widow and chronic iirc. So many new names on the menu nowadays, impossible to keep up.

I got new nutes, Bioquant A+B. Looks very different to the House and Garden nutes I used most grows. B is transparent/clear unlike the H&G B which looked like red wine. Using roughly 1 ec. 1 tsp per 1.5liter water.

Getting colder, plants not happy with that. I'll have to add some sort of heating for the dark period in 12/12 cause the natural gas heating (which goes through grow room) is a silly expensive option right now.
