12" planter
Ah, I was hoping for a volume. I imagine thats like 12litres or something.
Reason I asked was because watering only half a gallon doesn't seem like enough water to fully saturate the medium and have some run off.

I have to water 5-6ltr in 18ltr pots to get run off.
Point been some folks are talking about overwatering but I wondered if you were watering enough each time.

Just something to consider. Might be way off.

From the conversion charts i found 12" planter is equivalent to a 5gal pot

I don't think that's quite right.

Well dry gallons it might be. My 15 inch pots hold about a 5 gallon bucket of soil.

Ok im supposed to water today will try a gal of distilled water each plant. At the same time dont want to confuse today being watering day with a underlying issue.
Water them good. More than a gallon if needed.

Water once lightly and again in a few minutes really good. Moist soil will absorb more water.

So why would it show underwatering signs after a strong feeding?

Nutrients are made of salt. If it wasn't a thorough watering it would make it worse.
Thanks for all your help so basically need to do another flush or just start giving them water evenly until i get run off. How long would you wait to start nutes again?

A couple of observations FWIW- the roots reached the bottom but not the sides of the pot which indicates they are "looking" for cooler soil
Your light isn't penetrating the lower part of the plant
A Ph of 8 is pretty high- you may have a nutrient lockout situation
I would flush with SLF100 in case you have a buildup of salts

I would run a couple gallons through each pot.

Wait until the next watering is needed to start back feeding. Mix nutes at 1/4 strength. Water like I said in stages and make sure to get good run off.

One problem is they don't need to sit in the nutrient water and those type pots have a bottom that holds a couple inches of water.

Pop the bottom off the pots and use some cheap pot trays instead. Put a brick or board u der the pot so they don't sit in the runoff when feeding.

Use the weight for determine if they need water. If it feels light water. If it feels heavy then don't.

You can take an extra pot and fill with soil and put it in the sun. When it dries out compare it to a fresh watered one. Pick them up and feel the heft. It will give an idea when to water.

I don't like those probes. I have one. If I follow what it says I have problems.

they went to the side also thinking of getting a bigger pot so they can have room to grow. And my lights are extremely bright they are leds, but on floor around the plant is bright so its not to high. It jus cant get past the canopy. Ph dropped down between 7-6 after a half dose of foxfarm trio but the plant looks worse???

I will definitely try this an do you suggest pure distilled water flush or a chemical flush? Also what do you use to test ph? What do you think is going on with my other 6 wk old

The dark green leaves suggest too much N. The tip burn would be the P and K burning.

It may not need a full flush but a few good waterings with plain water should help.

Looks like over feeding with a bit of salt build up.

I never feed what a bottle says. I always start at 1/4 strength and work up.

Most companies will have you over feeding to sell more nutrients and flushing agent.

I have never used a chemical flush.

From now on reduce the strength of your feeds. You can always add more but once you over feed its hard to correct.

It's over watered. Somehow you have to dry your soil out and get some oxygen to your roots.
Are your pots heavy? They look over watered. If you used a half of a gallon of water to water one plant then I'd say they are definitely over watered.
I was wrong. This does not look over watered. I'd have to start making guesses at this point.
My guess is you are doubting yourself because of the dry pockets. Maybe because the op said he checked and the soil tested dry. Maybe because he lifted the pot and said it was light. Maybe all three.
Might be under watering my money was on over watering when I read your 1st post, still is, even with the doubts created above. Just MHO and it has been wrong.
