Scotch's lil Shindig- PG180's- Spec 100's, why not?

Busy busy brothers. Summer's here- the SUN, the temps, the yard, the work... The SLH has exploded, the left one has more of a FIM result (with 5 shoots, actual FIM) and the right was more a Top result, but still 5 main shoots. I started my brutal reps of LST a couple days ago- about every 18 hours I retrain them to help them define where they need to go. (for some reason my ENTER key is not working right now, so bare with me) The third picture shows the directions im trying to take em. AND number 5+6, I had a lovely little guy show up and go crazy on a couple leaves, I left the doors open with the fans blowing into the cab to help cool things down earlier in the week. May look at ordering some ladybugs. My Aquashield and ZHO should be here today, latest by tomorrow. Ive just gotten lazy with amazon and don't bother with the tracking numbers any more. Though I do select a seller with discreet shipping, whether it's $1.39 more or not. Ill be brewing some tea by Monday and introducing the girls to Bennies. Gonna order some Ancient Forest probably Monday, im trying to stay a couple weeks ahead on bills as kind've a safety net, buckles down some excess spending. Next time I drop down to the Hydro Store I am going to snag myself a few new things Ive read about, no "boosters." none of those shananigans. just nutes. I think theyre gonna lov it.. Anyways, temps have dropped back down, girls are doing great, highest was 81* the past two days, lowest 68*, 77* looking pretty steady.. SLH getting fed at 600ppm, res temps- highest recorded since summer was 78.9* hahahhahahahaha I walked in and just laughed..shook my head, knew itd be an issue at some point. damnit. BUT the roots never stopped growing, and are thriving pretty well, sitting at 70* now. TG. <<<----the Tangerine Dream is just over 4 weeks along, I was set that there HAD to be a light leak somewhere, so I took some fuckin screws and HVAC board and made myself a deflector at the seam of the doors. The picture of the "cola" is from the back set, if you can see- the closer you get to the door, the less along they are, and since putting those deflectors on (3....4 days?) pistils have taken off. So HOPEFULLY I nipped that. Ill get on here later and see if I cant break up this long as paragraph, but it's been raining since Tuesday and now's my chance to mow (rain again sunday, sweet) THOUGH, check it! My neighbors had these fuckin 50 gallon barrels lying in their back yard since Ive moved here, our yards are divided by a creek, and half of their yard is woods (where the barrels are,,) IVE BEEN DYING TO HAVE THESE BARRELS, ive been debating ways to nonchalantly ask them. but god gave good fortune and flooded that fucking creek! and brought TWO of them WELL into my yard... like 50....77 feet in. lol.. I fucking died. Well, I rigged one up with window screen and a bungie, lol, and set it out to catch rain. Tested it......... came out to 11ppm.... haha......... where. in the hell have I been. Factories are about 5 miles from us, so I figured the exhausts wouldn't be a problem? I think im gonna put a spigot on one of em and use that fuckin water!! Alright, take care every body!

No pics now, but a lot of things going on right now, along with having two panels torn down- I am making a Noise Insulating Box to set on top of the flower cabinet and contain the inline fan and a majority of it's ducting, its just made from some scrap wood and drywall I had from doing work around here. Also started germinating 5 Space Queen Saturday evening, 3 had popped last night- and the other two this morning. I have my 'wools soaking and almost ready.. Just have to clear out some space (TD clones), I am looking at building/buying another cabinet specific to mother's- the 4250k panel needs at least 14" of headroom to keep things lush, and that means a tight fit up top~~ no room for mothers, only clones and seeds. AND I finally got my Aquashield in the mail last night so I started brewing a batch of Microbe Tea (Aqua and ZHO, no AF yet), threw in some molasses and will give a fresh res change Friday morning with the tea included. The SLH has hit the screen, starting to train in those parts- I let the side branches go, theyre basically doing the work for and just going towards the nearest light. Things are warming up again, but looking great. Take care every one!

I went ahead and gave a fresh, potent res change to the SLH- they were feeding WELL at 690-710ppm and still with quite a bit of yellow towards the middle. Went ahead and threw in the dosage of EWC- all in all it came to 740-750ppm, light setting at 18" even

It's always something, so I am putting a few projects on hold.. and you know what? When I want to work on em, ill pull em out and start tinkerin'. (pro grows, insultating box) I have had 3 Space Queen sprout for me last night, I havnt been out to look today but the other two were not far behind. Ill be throwing away all but one of my TD clones (and maybe her someday) and transplanting the one clone and 5 seeds into my 3.75" lid.

The SLH was a bit yellow in the center for the past ~10 days or so and docking back that 4250k Panel really gave them the space they needed. Things are greening back up, nice even tone. The lens 51 uses really do a good job of getting down into the canopy, but I still had gangly side growth from being shaded by too many fan leaves.. I cut all of these away with a good majority of the side growth on the stems that I am working towards the screen, left a couple stragglers to take as clones once they beef up a bit.

I think I may be throwing the light cycle down too once the left one hits the screen. The right seems ready. Ill be doing a majority of my cloning off of her, she just looks like a trooper. Hardy. Though her left sister had more of a FIM affect from my FIM/Top job and may have needed a bit more time to figure things out.

Temps are warming up, 88* is my highest to date (in this set up), I am used to seeing curl start around 83-84*, on the dot. no matter what, it was always 82* when I had started worrying. Ive noticed since adding heavy silica to the regime, they don't start to taco till closer to 86-88* I tried to get a good shot of the more severe heat stress to give you guys an idea.



Ive been a little worried about my EWC, Dawg- are we supposed to stop brewing (bubbling) after two days and actually store it? I just left the airstone in there, figured theyd need recirculated.... oops?



Now for the Tangerine Dream... I dono if ive just lost interest or what, the light leaks caused some issues on the front side of the plants, delaying every thing by probably 3-4 weeks. FUCK. and its underfed, ignore the tip burn, I promise its underfed.... o.... and out of headroom, i forget to mention anything? . If I had NOT had the light leak, the front row would not have continued to stretch, you can just look at the node spacing and cringe... It tears me up. Not to mention they are SO far behind... so far... ugh... I snapped a few shots of the back buds to give you an idea of just how badly things are offset.



BUT... good news is, with all this stretch, it has given me a good idea "how far," the panels will penetrate. This whole "no Enter" thing on my keyboard has made it a bitch to update, but Ill get on here and edit it from something soon. Take care every one!

EDIT: just moved everything around, 5 seeds and a clone in the same container... different strains... lol... whelp. I always run RO for the first 10 days, then a little bit of cal/mag on seeds (2% N), but that clone needs to be closer to 350ppm right now. they'll have to do.

Thank you Dawg, I started brewing a new batch last night. I just scrapped the whole airline, stone, and netpot that had gotten that shit all over it. It was gummy, purple, muck. Definitely fucked that one up... haha. O well.. Again, congrats on that Apache brother! The girls are green with envy!.... and chloro

Every thing is going well, some things came up that made me uneasy uploading pictures, (VZW, Gmail and Obama!? anyone else know about that shit??)

1.) I took out the Tangerine Dream the other night, skipped flush. It was a drop of the dime decision. I was frustrated with the Tangerine Dream mum fuckin with my SpaceQueen, so i made room.

**notes** heat was a bitch with how much the TD stretched, I had my filter taken off my inline and my 51's all the way up. Still enough heat to get em to start to hermi. Late enough into flower that I wasn't TOO worried. Yield buckled from the circumstances, but enough to last me 9 weeks? yeaaaa....

2.) Moved the Super Lemon Haze (3 weeks flower yesterday) into the flower cabinet, with a fresh res change (~700ppm, and the tea)

3.) I finally got my Ancient Forest and more Silica from Hydro Market on Amazon so I have the full lineup for the EWC tea. Sweet. Ugly looking shit, but even before the AF was added, I was caught off by the difference.

IM A BELIEVER! Bennies for everyone.

4.) Also, finally rigged up my 8 bulb T5 mother Chamber made from 2x4's and drywall. Moved the UGLY AS FUCK Tangerine Dream mother. Feeding her nice and easy (~360ppm)

5.) The Spacequeen can finally get a CORRECT dose of nutes. and are goin right along, shooting up. Super Sativa, Super excited... I have five altogether, but one seems to want to set a little stout. Ill sex these kids soon and weed out the dicks.

The forum seems to have slowed down lately and ppl are falling off, for worse and better. But keep those good journals going fellas. (erhum.... puff....dawg....you too wimbo, even if you are soil.. lol)

I MIGHT upload pictures sometimes, but no promises.

I have no qualms with soil psu, actually.. deep down... i mean, deeeeep down... i think i would prefer it over hydro...

ONCE i got in to it. Just seems like 98% of the LED crowd is organic that's all.

The perks in flavour is what draws me to the idea of "making the switch," but id have to sit down and dissect every ingredient option in organics and read up as much as I could... all over again... I havnt read a whole lot.

Maybe its saying something that MOST are soil? I think D, P, and me... (..unintentional... I swear) ...are the only hydro guys rocking LEDs, just not as much fun watching soil when you have no idea whats goin down.. lol.

Just catching up with your journal. That Tangerine Dream is something else huh? Just when I thought I had it dialed in she showed her true colors. I will say I made some hash out of it this past weekend and it is fantastic. I wish I wouldn't have killed all mine off and just put them outdoors. I really like your choice of flavors. The super lemon is one of my favorites and of course I have heard many good things about TGA.

Speaking of uploading pics I have had some very weird things happen once I started journaling. I don't know if it's coincidence or paranoia but I am keeping at it anyway. Just saving a bunch of money for a lawyer if need be plus I refuse to sell anything to anyone. If they do get me it will be without intent to deal. Like Psu said it's the post-man and the locals that scare me. I moved to a place that isn't so open minded and am always concerned. The force is young guys wanting to prove themselves.

Oxygen raises my ph so I am constantly (daily) having to lower it. This is in my cloner and I can only figure that the same thing would happen in a DWC or Hydro set up. Does this happen to anyone else? I have been asking around my community and know one can answer why. I even had another guy tell me oxygen lowers his PH. Could it be my water? I had someone say something about cloromides but once chemistry gets involved my mind shuts down.

Spot on that TD rip, its a progressive downfall... and then right at the end, don'tcha know it... it teases us with that sweet, tangerine smell. Fills up the cab by harvest, but doesnt kick in till... week 8-9 ish. Too bad harvest is like.. week 12-13 lol.

I dono.. I really love the smell, but I was not impressed with how long it took to flower. Not enough of a Sativa high for the amount of Sativa stretch.

Honestly... for some reason, and I still havnt quite figured it out yet.. but in my prior setup, HID, same cabs. I didn't have that swing. bag seed strain btw.

Id occasionally have an upward swing, but mostly a plummet to the 4's. I HAVE solved my problem, been sitting at 6.1-6.3 for a few days now.. but I don't know WHAT solved it.

Silica (well... protekt by DG) raises your PH at probably... half the strength of actual PH Up. But I started using that at 3-5ml/gal (ends up giving me like 100-160ppm) and I started brewing some EWC Tea, and THAT shit. actually diluted my solutioin a little... but that shit gives me the buffer I needed to steady things out. Maximum Yield has a few good articles on Microbes that goes into explaining how they break down the salts for us.. super good read's..I love M.Y.'s

Apache's in a couple of em. Thought that was cool.

Spent about an hour last night pruning and trimming the SLH, the lady wanted to contribute so I showed her what to look for- in my eyes. But I explained, there is no wrong way. Anyways, I just got her the S4, the camera on that thing is just super duper. I took probably 20-30 pictures last night and narrowed it down to 10...ish.

Give you guys a fresh little revamp on what's goin down in Narnia, excuse the delay- I racked up 57 hours this week. Gotta start saving for this Apache release

The SLH is about a month in to flower, so far so good. Keeping her well fed and kicking right along.

You can see the serious burn the SpaceQueen took when I had the TD mother in the container with them.

The heat is on!! Fuckin TROPICAL weather here lately. Mind you.. that's not the usual atmosphere around these parts. Temps finally hit the 90's this week...outside.

Luckily Ive made myself start watching the weather channel as a head's up, I have had my filter off in flower for the extra head room, I was fighting the yellowing and couldn't pinpoint what was going down.

whelp....you ready. know what I think? Too much light. :/

I had to keep my lights at 22+" to keep things green, but not quite full.. preparing for the heat I docked both panels back to half power with only one bay of modules on each. I figured rotating with bay's were on by each light cycle would be a good way to keep things covered. EVEN with all the backed off light.. temps have hit the highest they have so far at 86*, and I have THAT MUCH curl. Im stoked 86 is it, but where the air is stagnant the girls are feeling it.

These guys are just doing great, been loving the NW panel. I really am repeatedly astonished at what this panel does to the kids. I have this one at half power as well, rotating every 12.

I am just fucking stoked for the SLH. Ive always ran some bag seeds that had been speculated to what they were. Fun. But the difference in GOOD breeder genetics is awesome. AND i must have only germed two of the seeds I purchased...so I have 8 more to go through!

They are 5 weeks and 2 days as of today, they pics were taken last night. Looking to harvest somewhere in mid-late August. But if need be, id have no problem letting em go longer.

I am really excited to see what Ful-Power does to the mix, if you know a little bit about chelation and what not, these guys work SOLELY on humic acid products (one with sea kelp included in it). I should be able to push em a little harder (moved from 650's to 830's) so we'll see how it goes!

Thank you chronik, the heat may be pushing me to the cellar; which I am all for, but havnt quite swayed the lady. It takes some finesse. I've actually been wondering about how I clone, most of my roots are shooting out from where the stem is met with the neoprene insert, and not where I strip the tips with 60* angles...? I thought nothing of it last time, but now it's happening again, maybe my water levels need to be tinkered with?

I have seen better results with warmer water, but I've also seen its not suggested to use a heater with clones. To every brother his own, but I saw 3-4 days difference with warmer temps.

Little guys awesome, just turned 4 months. Such a shit too, can't stand to sleep on his back, thinks he's a big guy and wants to stand up all the time. Good times man, good times.

SpaceQueen on 12/12 is giving me their lady parts, pulled the second dude tonight. Ill be moving these kiddos into larger 5 gallon totes, they are starting to yellow so I went ahead and bumped em up


Also turned their light onto full power, it is 24+" away. Its supposed to stay cool around these parts till Sunday, so if temps let me I'm going to keep it powered up and bring it down to ~18"


Been reading up on a lot of strain reviews on SLH and SQ, and it sounds like sq is a super solid sativa/day high/go go go buzz.

I like this.

the SLH is a little hit and miss it sounds, it is making me angsty to throw in some more seeds to sift through some pheno's... just don't know how many 12/12 FS' ill be able to fit in my 33x15" footprint.

Maybe, 4 at a time.
