Scrog Flower Week 4 (First Grow) How's she looking?

Here is my girl at day 26 flower. I think she is looking good although I have noticed a good amount of yellowing starting from the bottom fan leaves. I am looking for any thoughts or tips you may suggest as this is my first grow. Also, if you have any thoughts for what kind of yield I should expect please let me know!

Here is my Setup:
- 32”x32”x60” tent
- 600w HPS
- Fem Ak-48 (Nirvana)
- Organic Super Soil (KindSoil)
- 5gal Smart pot
- Around 3 month veg.
- Fed only with natural spring water (Currently, two 16oz water bottles / Day)

Backround:
This is my first grow and I started her from seed. My goal was to veg. her until she could fill up the entire tent. I topped a handful of times while in veg. I also faced some issues with humidity, temperature, watering and possibly an N deficiency.

I decided to extended my veg. period as I did not want to make the flip unless she was 100% healthy. She was in pretty bad shape and did not make any new growth for about 3-4 weeks. All in all she was in vegged for about 3 months total.

I was able to bring her back to life and decided to go 12/12 just two weeks ago. Unfortunately, she did not fill out as much as I hoped for but the experience and knowledge that I gained was well worth the time.

I am hoping to get 5oz from her. Please feel free to give me any suggestions/tips that you have.

Thanks for looking :bigjoint:

I had to google ounces of water because we don't use them, 2 bottle of 16 ounce is less than 1ltr, I use 18ltr cloth pots and have to water about 5ltr to get some run off per pot. So I would say your not watering enough by a long way. They look like they are starving of nutrients. Could be the lack of water causing issues.
Yellowing is normal at the end of flower but that much that early would have me worried.

How do you catch the water run off? I always try to water thoroughly then let it dry out and repeat. Can you get a tote cover under that plant then water it slowly but allow the dirt to absorb then add a little more and keep doing so until you see some run off. And add some liquid organic fertilizer to the water as recommended. All in all at least you got this far, good luck!

Next time around try to fill your screen up a lot more. You want a good 80 percent or so of it filled before flip.
Other thAn that I think you're looking good aside from them yellowing.
You nailed it on window to stop tucking. Canopy looks great.

You put a lot work into your set up. Even got the twine tight...

How close do you have the light to the plant?
Thanks man! I definitely did my homework while piecing together my setup. Currently, the light is about 15" from the tops. My air cooled hood keeps everything cool and I have not had any light issues yet!

You might be on to something....Since this post, I have upped her to 3 bottles daily (Approximately 1.5L). I will update here soon with the results.

Usually when I water, I don't have any runoff. Maybe some parts of the root ball are not getting enough water. I have read some things about the "Umbrella Effect" you can get from using smart pots.

They look very hungry. What are you feeding them?
Do they? I have been growing her in organic super soil. I do not feed her any extra nutes. She gets 3 bottles of water daily.

I did veg. her a few weeks longer than I had planned so maybe she just outgrew the 5 gal pot and used all the natural food from the soil.

Just a thought,

I don't usually get any run off when watering. Maybe she is just very under watered and I should try adding more. I can add a drip pan under the pot to catch the run off. Is it okay for her to sit on top of a little bit of run off in order to absorb it back up?

What is liquid organic fertilizer and where can I get this? Do you think it's necessary with the super soil?

Thanks for your thoughts,

That was the plan unfortunately things never seem to go as planned lol. I'm not going to get into detail but I faced a lot of issues during veg when I was trying to have her fill out. I did my best and decided to go 12/12 as I could not veg her any longer since the soil eventually would not hold enough nutes to sustain her through flower.

For my next grow, I am going to use the same setup although I will use 4 plants each in 2-3gal containers and I plan to fill the entire tent. Hopefully I can cut down on my veg time and focus more on getting a heavier yield.

did you say week four.? hmm, you still got a few more weeks of growing left.. you will need to get some sort of organic nute to continue feeding her she is starving . and she will still produce. if you gave her something.?? looks like you are in final week of flushing. have you given up on her? its only day 26 of a strain that needs you for at least 30 more days.. 3 gal or 10 gal of super duper soil could never keep her fed. she needs to eat at the all u can eat buffet. but only gave her bread and water,..this is day 32 of bloom and she gets what she wants...

Yes I would get a good soak but any dry dirt pockets in there will take longer to absorb the water and I think you have this issue, if this is still the case water slowly over 1 hour 3 cups every 15 minutes. If you see run off happening stop and wait, at this point let the pot and dirt suck it back in. Link to one example of liquid nutes......I am using these now. But you can always make a organic tea, use some cow manure mixed in some water BUT at the stage you are at and since you been low on nutes go easy with them I really think a small amount is all you really need, other than this you may get some decent bud, so good luck!

1. Put a screen at 20 to 25 creeps from the pots
2. Removed the top cola of each plant
3. Prune base branches when top hits the screen
4. Drive into blossoming 2 days in the wake of pruning base
5. Append all branches on a level plane to the screen
Maybe the most essential thing to have with this setup is a scrog screen, for the most part some sort of wire or even a tight rope. A durable screen that can keep down the top covering and has 2-inch by 2-inch squares worked in will absolutely be sufficient. Screens are likewise the most critical parts of scrogging.
You are viably "preparing" the cannabis plants to develop in your coveted course without doing anything unforgiving that could influence development antagonistically.

Update - Day 33 Flower

Hey guys, thanks for all your advice and thoughts! These pics were taken on day 33 of flower (1 week since the last photos were taken).

I have since upped the watering schedule to (3) 16oz water bottles per day and she is loving it! I am not getting much run off although I can feel a good amount of moisture on the sides of the pot as well as the bottom.

I decided to grab some FoxFarm Big Bloom organic nutes. I am feeding her on a very light dosage. I started these nutes at the end of week 4 so we will have to wait about a week to see some results.

All in all, she is yellowing a bit more than I think she should. My guess is that she has just been starving and taking up all the energy from her leaves. Hopefully this bit of nutes will help her balance out and start fattening up!

I will be sure to update with new photos in the next few days of her progress!

I think it will be fine now, be interesting how the smoke turns out. I see three leaves curling up, but the temps seem OK probably due to lack of water in the past? And the plants trying not to dry out too fast BUT many leaves are not curling.

Here's a nice example if I don't mind saying so myself.......6 plants,4 n half weeks since switch over to 12/12,vegged around 4weeks,3 x 600w hps
