SCROG question

I'm midway through my scrog, and just had a question.

I'm using chicken wire as the basis for my scrog. Wherever I've bent a branch over and under a wire (weaved) the wire is sticking quite deep into the branch.

My next grow I'm going to do a scrog and then reveg the plant by cutting everything but the very bottom bud on each branch(may cut in half if its to big) to try and cut down veg time and get a more even canopy.

I imagine that a wire sticking into the branches would be causing some sort of stress which may hinder the reveg.

Is there a way of avoiding it?

Cheers

Yes, there is definitely a way of avoiding it. It is not necessary to weave the plant through the wire. As the plant grows up through the wire push it back down and across towards the next opening. Use twist ties to keep unruly branches in place. Or....You could let the plant grow up through the openings and use twist ties to tie down the branches as you train it to grown across the top of the chicken wire. When you're ready to reveg just untwist the ties and remove the wire. :peace: OUT!

Thanks jrp, so if I want to weave, I just have to deal with the indentation?

Guess twist ties it is.
