The bits you tuck under is it just the main tips and let the rest grow up or tuck everything under?

Hi I'm a new grower so I don't know if I've done my scrog correct but I kept everything thing under the screen when I switched to flower I left it alone now I have a screen full of bud. Hope this helps.

Keep tucking until stretch stops is what I have read recently, I have done 1 before I did it the way krazyg has said again with a screen full of bud.

I tucked my plants on my last grow through a screen for almost the first 3 weeks of stretch....i do NOT recommend. if your gonna tuck, id say do it for a week and let the rest of the stretch happen upwards, I ran 8-9 week strains 10 weeks and I think i could have gotten another week out of 3 of my plants. I can only speculate that each time you weave your branches downwards, the plants have to readjust and kinda recover from the training. it slowed my flowering down.

I didn't top or do anything to my plant just tied all the fan leaves down let it cover 70% of the screen and flip it. It only seems to be a couple of weeks behind my normal grow which was started at the same time all from seed.

Don't tuck as the branches keep growing and nodes will grow into the mesh and break off. I use short pieces of twist tie to lash the grow tips loosely to the screen then If I want to re-position a branch I just undo the 22 or 3 piev\ces of twist tie near the tips and move the branch to where I want it. Can't do that if you tuck. You can buy twist tie on a roll at garden centers or cut regular ones in half. Don't need that many as you can remove ones further back and use them up front. Once trained to grow horizontally it will stay there without being tied down. I grow out to the edge and let them get a few inches past then turn the tip around and tie it back on to head across the screen again.

so, the bits you tuck under is it just the main tips and let the side shoots grow up or tuck everything under?

When I do a ScroG I veg longer than most of the other ones I see people post in the forums. As the main branches grow along their side branches start growing out rapidly and I'll lash those to the screen as well until I'm ready to flip. If the grow tip reaches the edge of the screen I let it grow out enough to turn it around and start it across the screen again. All those smaller side branches make decent smaller colas that add quite a bit to the pile when the trimming is done. :)

I never tuck. Once the branches grow thru the screen they get lashed loosely to the screen with short pieces of twist tie. As the branches grow along pieces of twist tie can be removed from the back and used on the front so you don't need hundreds of pieces. I cut regular twist ties into 2 - 3" pieces or use some off a roll of it I got at a garden center.

:peace:
