Second Indoor Grow Journal Soil LED 12 Plants

Hey there guys, I’m a little late in starting this hour a unfortunately and will have skipped all of sprouting/vegging but I’ll continue from Flowering on and start a new one on my next grow. Please feel free to post in this journal, I’d really appreciate any advice you guys might have.
So far here is the setup, garage grow with 2 tents:
4x4 Tents x2
Marshydro 1600 LED
Marahydro 300w LED x2
2 box fans
6” in-line fan with carbon filter

I have a 4x8 tent on the way to replace these 2 for Flowering, one of my 4x4s has a broken support corner so it’s gonna get demoted to drying tent only. I’ll be vegging in the other 4x4 once the 4x8 arrives.

All plants are from bag seed this time around, mostly from hermy strains I picked up in the Sylmar area. I’ll be growing Nirvana seeds next round but wanted to give these a shot first. I have 10 random plants and 2 are Alien Cookies clones (the 2 fabric pots). All plants are in 5 gallon containers. Using either Happy Frog or Ocean Forest soils and I’m using the entire line of FoxFarm nutrients, started at 1/4 dose every other feeding and am now at 1/2 dose every other feeding. All feedings in between are done with ph’d RO water, usually between 6.3-6.8 with CalMag Plus added at heavy feeding dosage. I did top/fim a couple of them, however I wasn’t taking pictures before so I don’t really remember which ones exactly.
Planted seeds straight into soil on 11/17, flipped to flowering on 1/1. Let me know what you guys think, will keep updating as they develop.

It’s been a while, I was down from surgery but was still working on the garage. Here are some updates, I’ve upgraded to a 4x8 tent for Flowering and am using one 4x4 for vegging and the other for drying/curing in.
I also temporarily added a Viparspectra Par600 and one of the Marshydro 300w LEDs to somewhat cover the left half of my 4x8 while the other half is covered by the Marshydro II 1600 panel.
I’ve been doing a ton of research while I was in bed and I ordered an HLG 600H Quantum Board 2700k 620w with dimmer kit to replace the Viparspectra and Mars 300. I’m also hoping it helps supplement the Mars 1600 as well. So we’ll see how that works out once it gets here.

I’m attempting to learn to ScrOG even though I’m starting the trellis a little late, it’ll more than likely end up being more for support this round. I’ve been trying to bend and weave the tallest tops through the net where there’s empty spaces and so far it’s working pretty well even though only 3 of the plants are tall enough yet. As of yesterday they’re on their 3rd week since I changed them to 12/12. I’m also down to 11, one ended up being male.
I just fed the 4x8s FoxFarms full line following their schedule at full strength (been slowly building up). Along with CalMag following their heavy feeding schedule every watering.
In the 4x4 I started vegging my 6 new plants. I have 3 Pre-99 Big Bud by Nirvana, 2 Og Kush from a friend (may or not actually be what he said it is, we’ll see), and one Wonder Woman by Nirvana. I just transplanted them today to their final 5 gallon fabric pots using Promix HP soil and will be using Advanced Nutrients Gro, Micro, and Bloom along with CalMag Plus from now on.

Here’s another update, just watered both tents with RO water PH’d at 6.3 with just CalMag added at 2tsp/gal
Just had a few questions if someone would be able to help,
First, how hot of a soil mix is Pro-Mix HP compared to Ocean Forest
And second, can anyone tell me why my leaves are drooping in my flower tent. I’m thinking it’s overwatering but would like to confirm.
Plants were flipped 18 days ago. Also would appreciate any input or advice you guys might have.

Another update, a lot has changed. My HLG-600H came in today so I got it set up and moved my Viparspectra over to the Veg tent to help out the Marshydros. Also so did my Inkbird thermostat, both are working great. I’ve been having a big issue with cold temperatures at night, I tried a 1500w radiator heater but I have no way to power it without tripping breakers so I had to settle for this Vornado 750w and thankfully my night time temperatures have been staying at least at 61, they were down to 54 without it. I’m managing 74 in the day and RH is averaging 37-45%. I’ve noticed since keeping the temperature better my growth has definitely sped up. I also cut way down on nutrient feeding, we’re now feeding at 6.8 980PPM.
The veg tent is looking pretty good, I topped the Big Buds 1 and 3 in the back yesterday. I also germinated 6 feminized AK-48s by Nirvana into Rockwool cubes on the 22nd, they sprouted and I very poorly transplanted them to solo cups with Pro-Mix HP mixed with Ocean Forest. I’ll fix these later when they’re bigger and I move them to their final 5G pots. From now on I’ve decided to just stick with planting directly into soil, it seems to work best for me. I’ll save my Rockwool cubes for when I’m ready to try cloning.
We are 24 days into Flowering, bigger seedlings were planted on the 5th.

Things are starting to look pretty good, I think. I’ll start with the veg tent. I topped all of the 5 gallons except Big Bud #2, she’s not growing anywhere near as fast as the others so I’m just gonna let it do it’s own thing for the grow while I keep topping the others. I also planted 4 Wonder Woman by Nirvana into 1 gallon pots, I’m trying a 50/50 mix of promix hp and coco which I’ve never used before. Tent is currently feeding at 530ppm with a ph of 6.6
The AK-48s are looking good so far, growth has been pretty even among all 6.

As for the flower tent, we are 29 days from flip. They’re currently being fed 960ppm with a ph of 6.5. Unfortunately on one of my biggest plants under the Marshydro I found a few nanners forming on the buds, I tweezed them off and will keep watching it. I’m not too surprised since most of these seeds came from hermied weed. The buds are finally starting to fill in a little, I’m hoping for at least 2oz a plant. I’m planning on running these till March 10 and then move them to the drying tent to make room for my Pre-99 Big Buds.

Today we are 35 days into Flower, plants are finally starting to show buds. I think the slow start was due to my temp/nutrient issues. I switched my light cycle to be on at night and off during the day and everything seems to be staying in perfect range. I’m watering every 3-4 days as the pots start to feel light and dry. I’m feeding at 6.5 between 900-1100ppm and every 4th watering I’m using just CalMag in the feedings. This one plant in the middle is very thin and a light green for some reason, not sure what to expect out of it at this point. I’m still shooting for a March 10th harvest day but time will tell.

For the veg tent, I just topped all the AK-48s yesterday. I’m done topping the plants in the 5 gallon pots, I’m just gonna let them grow out now until my flower tent finishes and I can throw them in.
Temps are a little warmer than I’d like in here but I also changed the light cycle to 18/6, lights off during hottest part of the day and it seems to be helping a little.

Great job,I guess you should have big harvest of them already,how do they look like now?
