Hey guys,
I have an auto blue diesel seedling about a week old that I planted into a party cup with 50/50 FFoF/LightWarrior.
My game of attack once I'm ready to transplant is this:
1.) Wait until root emerges from bottom holes of solo cup. Don't water seedling at least 24 hours prior to transplant.
2.) Fill up 5 gal pot with 80/20 FFoF/LightWarrior (don't have perlite, that will be for the next grow!)
3.) Create outline in soil in the 5 gal pot for the solo cup
4.) Remove seedling plant, soil and all completely intact and place lightly in cut-out in 5 gal pot
5.) Once having placed the plant/cup in the soil, remove the cup and lightly pack soil around the transplanted plant to create a uniform structure
6.) Water the transplanted plant and leave it alone for a few days
This will be my first time attempting a transplant. If you have any additional pointers/tips/corrections, please let me know.
Thanks! Hopefully this will help out other noobs as well.
NOTE: I'm considering in the future just planting my AFs directly in their final pots. Un-even watering doesn't seem terribly difficult to manage to me.
