Oh and how long should i leave the fan on and do i use it straight away aswell?

Yes to all. Plant germed seed in pot and put under lights immediately. Constant gentle breeze right from the start is good.

Thanks mared juwan, does it matter how close the light is to the seedling?
Im gonna guess the closer it is the better.

Its a 60w cfl . Adding another the same size soon though.

Thanks, Joemuz

It is very easy to burn up seedlings. Good idea to keep the lights several inches away. You may want to check on them a couple times per day as they tend to shoot up fast.

How many watts per plant do you have? For example, my veg closet has two 26watt daylight CFLs for every one plant. I keep it the same from seed/clone all the way until flower. This is plenty enough light to grow bushy plants. So if you have at least this much light and keep the bulbs about 2-3" away from the sprouts I wouldn't worry about any stretching you see.

turn into bushy mofos with 52watts per plant daylight CFLs
