Seedlings are hurting.

Well this goes without saying, but it's definitely my fault. Now that I've finished giving myself sh*t, I'm hoping someone has been able to come back from this :$

A corner of my propagation unit wasn't sitting properly and 2 of my feelings have dried right out. I watered them as soon as I saw them with 5.8ph bottled water from a 1 gal/4L water water bottle with no added nutes.

It's been maybe 10 hours since I watered them and it appears they have moved a bit.

Any suggestions to help restore them would be awesome!

Cheers,

Yip Shirley you won't need the 12 foot ladder for these babes ...first deceased seedlings I've ever seen on RIU...I must get out more ?

next time use a damp rockwool no nutes keep in a warm place with a dome lid...check every 2-4 hours

Yeah I figured they were toast. I usually let them crack in water then into rock wool and haven't had any problems yet.

The propagation unit got hit open and they dried right out. They were near the corner that had the gap. Of course it was near the youngest ones.

Thanks for the help.

This won't be a mistake I make again

In my experience as long as you have green then you have a chance but in this case if you have other seeds then start again, no biggie and get your light closer too, it's too far away.

That's easy to fix just pop new seeds lol
I've done this same thing myself in rock wool cubes. They can dry out very quickly especially if low heat like from a seed mat/propagator is added. A neat trick is to simply put the cubes loosely inside a ziplock baggie or inside a solo cup with a ziplock over the top to help retain moisture. Use a hand sprayer to water them; it's almost impossible to overwater them this way.
