Seedlings not growing

Everytime i start a new seedling off it grows normal speed for 2 days then stops growing but stays green and healthy looking. In the end i got rid of the first one as it died after like a week and still only had 2 leaves and they where still right above the first round droplet leaves. The seccond one is the same and is 3 days old and has about a 2" stem. 18/6 with one 60w cfl, pH 7.2 multi purpose compost from B&Q. Any suggestions? Using bagseed i got off a mate so could they be out door seeds? My mate didnt have a clue what they where .

Thanks, Joemuz

well you need 6500K for veg growth. 2700K for flowering. they will slow growth until the root system spreads more but once it does, growth should burst pretty much over night. and with my seedlings i use M-Gro Seed Starting Mix. It is very light and has good aeration and my seedlings love it.

i would look for the one that projects teh most lumens. my set up has five 23w 6500k, and two 23w 5000k lights and it working great.

move them to bigger pots, when my seedlings slowed down i replanted them and they kept growing quickly after that. Also the pH of your soil is way to high it should be around 6.6-6.8
