Seedsman Blueberry vs. HSO sour blueberry

Just popped one of each:
Seedsman's feminized blueberry (received as a freebie from herbies I believe)
HSO sour blueberry (1 of a 5 pack I purchased because supposedly its good for seizure relief for a friend)

I'll be using Tupur soil less mix. I haven't decided on whether I'll use floranova or pure blend pro. I think I will veg with the nova and flower with the pbp because I get better flavors with the pbp. I'll throw some pictures up once they're above the dirt.

Right now I have a HSO blue dream at 60 days flower that has a wonderful blueberry smell when rubbed so hopefully I'll find a blueberry flavor I like. Cheers

Just done a round of sagarmathers doubble bubble berrys and let me tell you it's got the most blueberry and a bubble gum flavour it's incredibbly aromatic and fruity.

The seeds both cracked within 24 hours and out the soil in 72.

Both look healthy. The hso is bright green little sprout and the seedsman is looking like the old school berry sprouts with dark green and purple. More than likely the purple fades quickly with the first sets of leaves.

Seedsman's blueberry. You can't see the faint purple in pic

Day 5. Girls are doing well nothing much has changed. Only difference has been the hso sour blueberry did stretch a tiny bit more than the seedsman's blueberry but that could be from any number of things.

Surprisingly both of these seedlings look like blueberry seedlings and they look like they could have came out of the same batch of beans except the seedsman has more purple in it for sure but that could be environmental vs genetic. The HSO has a bit of an edge growth wise because it's a hybrid while the blueberry is inbred? but defiantly less vigorous.

I started these girls in old Tupur soiless mix that I had let dry out and I reconditioned the mix but the seedlings were not digging it so I transplanted them a little earlier so I could put them in some fresh tupur. The sour kosher and blue dream clones I have were also started in the old mix and were also not liking it so I transplanted them about a week ago into new tupur and they're doing great now.

The both are looking like the blueberry I have had in years past, i.e. the round shaped leaf blades, fat indica looking leaves. Both are squat starters, although I typically keep all my seedlings squat with the T5s. Seedsman is already starting to harden off while the HSO is a little behind, though the HSO was a little ahead a few days after they sprouted out of the coco.

It would be nice to find something blueberry like I remember, Member blueberry? oh I member...
They both should be indica dominant which is what I'm looking for, couch lock. Cheers

I decided to top the girls today. I'm not sure how they will react as I have had indicas in the past that didn't like being topped but we shall see. The seedsman's leaves are staying fat and both plants are staying squat af. No noticeable smells on either one.
Hso (HB) left and seedsman (SB) right, you can see how much fatter SB leaf blades are compared to HB

Girls are poking along but I got two months until tent is free so it's cool. I just have them under 4 bulb 2ft t5 light and they need a little more but my game plan is to take clones off these two as soon as possible and throw them in flower small just to see which one is worth vegging out larger. I'm guess in another 5 days I'll be able to cut clones and flower these girls.

Just cut clones off the two blueberries and threw them in the flowering tent. I'm going to keep them just two or four tops and not let them spread out at all.

The seedsman is definitely looking like it's from similar genetics as the blueberries I had circa 2002. Squat, dark green, fat fingered leaves, not the fastest veg and she hates to be topped. Hopefully she has the desired blueberry taste and color but I'm not counting any unhatched eggs. I topped both plants a 6 days ago and the HSO SB has grown out much more than the seedsmans.
