So you've just admitted that you had no intention of giving advice, you think it is shameful to ask for advice on a forum specifically designed for sharing information. You are also admitting to spam, because you've admitted no intention of answering the questions that have been asked. You just want to sell your product. You are cancer.
Wow what is your damage son? The way you talk makes you sound like some punk teenager kid whose trying to order grow equipment to hide from their parents.

You asked questions. You didn't like the fact no one suggested any of the lights you were choosing from would be good. No reason for you to have a hissy fit. All your doing is digging yourself in a hole in a public forum for all to see forever.

Learn some respect, these people who are taking time out of their busy day to give you answers and you shit all over them. Most of the people giving you advice all grow some kick ass weed and know their shit so stop acting like a kid and grow the fuck up.

your original "security" reasons for not wanting QB is your bullshit story for not being able to afford them. you can delay shipping if you're not in...pretty standard.

It's 2017 and there are many ways of safely receiving your own mail...have you ever used DHL from the states before? 20 massive pounds they charge for import..." Anyone who's bought enough from overseas would know this." - Classic

i dont use cobs, clever cloggs.

you're going on the ignore list
If i couldn't afford them then i'd say i couldn't. There is no shame in that. You are warped. If you interpreted my "security reasons" to mean "i can't afford them", then still, you have no reason for suggesting them. Again you are just proving that you never had any intention of answering the questions that were asked, you are just spamming the forum trying to sell your wares.

Now, there is nothing else to say. You've all proven beyond any reasonable doubt that you are a useless sack of shit, and this forum has been completely filled with sharks and alts trying to sell their wares. I only hope people read this thread before bothering to waste their time signing up and asking for advice.

Hey dickhead alt #174
I've already ascertained that the meizhi/vipar etc would be sufficient. I was asking how a different light compared to those lights, and people had a hissy fit because i rejected their suggestions that i had already repeatedly excluded. Get your facts straight. If you care about respect then you should care about people having enough respect to answer the questions that were asked, rather than try to sell their wares.

Au Revoir.

You said it yourself, bro.

You should of been honest from the start and not been a douche.

Shut the door on your way out

That moment when you are misusing a quote from page 3 to justify your actions on page 1. What a clown.
Oh, and "expense" is different from "afford".
Expense is relative to worth, afford is relative to what's in your bank account. A $10 can of beer is expensive. a $25'000 house is cheap.

You said that your growing area is 2*2 ft and your budget is about £100.

I went with the vipar spectra 600w and I find it great. First timer here so can't give you much of a comparison to HPS but do my best to give you some feedback. The bloomwin looks pretty average imo as suggested by many others I would go a more well known brand. I used the veg setting for first 2 weeks and it was pretty slow progress as it only uses the blues and whites (guessing only 30% output of the 600w) so I switched the bloom on and it made a big difference in vegetive growth rate. I am yet to flower with it so I won't speak too soon but so far, so good. Look forward to sharing more info on my first grow in the relevant threads :)

Do you have a watt meter and can you verify that the 600 only pulls 200 actual watts

Hi guys, I am having real problems deciding on a light for a 2x2ft space.

I am interested in Quantum Boards and DIY but unless i can buy everything from a single UK store, they aren't an option right now (security reasons...)

I would like something under 200w true power and around £100, so I am looking at this.

BLOOMWIN COB (for some reason i can't post links.. apparently i need a -1% like:post ratio and i have 29%.. i've no idea what to do...)

Please type in Amazon uk "400w bloomwin COB" and it is the first link.

This COB has 0 reviews but to my uneducated eye it looks good. Should I get this or do you suggest another LED that is not a QB for a similar price? (Meizhi 450? Viparspectra? Mars?)

Please reply, i don't have much time left to make a decision.

Thanks
in a 2x2 you should go with LEDs, maybe start with one of those cheaper options and get a few grows under your belt so you know where you stand as a grower, then invest in more expensive lights when you feel confident in your abilities.

No meter or solid proof that's just my estimation. The veg lights continue to stay on when you hit the bloom switch and I counted only about a third of the lights stay on when you switch back to the veg setting.

The reflector Meizhi 450 is only ~£35 more than the basic Mars 300, so this is what i was looking at along with the Bloomwin, which i think had a comparatively much better spectrum and par etc than the Viparspectra/Meizhi.. but despite this thread being three pages and half a dozen boy-prodigy lighting engineers giving their 'advice', i've not been able to get any confirmation about how its basic specs stack up against the Meizhi/Mars etc LEDs. These forums aren't what they used to be....
Here's the thing - ALL of the lights you're looking over are basically bottom of the barrel junk. None of them - not one - is significantly better than the others. Will they grow weed? Yes, and your yield will typically be 0.4 to 0.6 grams per watt. You would honestly be better off going down to your local hardware store and buying some household warm white 12W LED bulbs, and a couple of three/four bulb bathroom vanity fixtures, and putting that in the tent.
