Should I really be doing this here?

hello everyone!!!

Before I start I kinda have an idea of what I'm wanting for an LED, I'm posting here to get some extra opinions on top of what I was already given, LED are the way of the future in my opinion and we will leave it at that so looking for help on LED, along with some additional stuff.



So let me begin.
New to the community here, been growing for about a month with continual back and forth but not really getting further than I was before, kinda until now.....maybe...

Let me tell you about my space, set up, and how I plan to make it from seed to harvest, but can I really do it where I'm living? If it is possible set up has to be key to success, along with taking care of plant.

2x4x5 tent most times never gets closed due to higher heat, also where I'm living, how I can only vent the heat.
I could install inline duct work around the tent and filters.... don't really want to until it's time mostly due to the inline fans BLOWING sound, im worried the people LITTERALLY living next to me can hear it, apartment buildings. Now there could be insulation to help dampen the noise, but I only have 1 filter and the fan, my tent. I put both my hands on the fan to "plug it" and it quiets up to a really tolerable noise, and hopefully it's still working as suppose to. So I need to find a way to dampen the sound of blowing air without causing to much backing up of airflow. Could you help me here?
Also should I really be growing inside an appartment building, no windows, 1 big door. And there's a dryer vent but it's on the opposite side of the house and I don't wanna go threw walls even though I own the place, just don't want to fix them when I move out in a few years.... I'll find a proper place to have a real grow room....
probably could install outside the tent so more room indoor for growth and light however.
Currently light situation is 10 CFL tied together creating 230W of drawing power, apparently creating enough heat as a good 400Watt HPS..... But not efficient enough right?
8000 BTU air condition which is connected to the door, keeps the room/house cool and also keeps the tent between 20-23 degrees. It could be expelling odur outside from the plants because the tent is open for the ac to blow inside, no filters in place due to the face the door is open and won't create vacuum or whatever it is (negative pressure).
I also have a 45w LED to test the LED world out.....results seem promising with low amounts of heat output where I could close the tent perhaps!
So it works until they get larger and more stink... I got 2 small ones, 1 clone which is all growing along with some vegetables and herbs.
A few medium fans. And the mediums that I keep the plants in and a few tools like ppm and ph pens, ph strips, foliage sparys....

So back to the LED part which is almost the main reason I'm here as it's going to eliminate all other lights in my tent, increase consumed power to 400+ watts (should equal to 50w/SQFT as per the tent)
So I'm thinking of getting an LED from an manufacturer of "VIPARSPECTRA".
It consumes at least 400watts power, and I was told it should be good enough for what I'm looking for, what I've they've have for results, etc.
I only would want to spend no more than 450$ if I was to be pointed to another direction by one of you.

What do you have, how good is it, how does it compare to this one, price if you were recommending it, and all that stuff..... am I really getting the best light for the amount I'm willing to pay, LED wise or should I get HPS/MH? But I have no wait to vent that stuff so I'll have to wait to move out which is why I'm trying LED, it's also less ventilation problems and stuff to deal with in that aspect.

I grow in cabinets. The fan is the noisiest bit. But if you get a decent one. Sometimes they're naturally quiet. Or come with fan speed controllers.

That Viparspectra might work for you. They're an alright brand. But, I prefer white cobs over blurple lights. Check out timber grow lights. They sell prefab kits with all you need. 3500k is probably the best for all round growth. Has enough blue in it. But, the extra red will really benefit come flowering time.

Smell wise. You could probably get away with a home made scrubber. Just need to source activated carbon. Negative pressure in the grow space is your friend. You want as much of your air going through that scrubber on the exhaust side as possible. Otherwise you'll still be able to smell your plants.

Then there's keeping temps and humidity in check. Temps are dependent on what you're growing. Humidity over 40%rh in veg is fine. But you want it to stay below 50% in flower. Especially as they fatten up.

There's nothing worse than finding out you've got moldy bud... or. Spider mites. Speaking of which. A healthy plant is more resistant to pests and diseases. Neem will help fight against bugs on/in the vegetation above ground. Diatomaceous earth combats crawling critters. And silica is a general line of defence against all types. Including the microbial pests.

Wow that's awesome, I give you props for doing it In a cabinet if it's small as I'm thinking it is aha, but cabinet boards are easy to replace if you mess with them I think, I'm not sure. But +1!
Right now I'm running normal fans, it's okay sound, the AC is the loudest part and it exhausting hot air hotside, so it sounds like I'm running a dryer 14 hours of the day when it's hot...

I understand negative pressure is what I want, the only way i can achieve it is closing the tent, installing my scrubber & inline fan. That inline fan sounds even louder than the AC Im pretty sure, however maybe it's not strong enough but if the fan was more CFM than what I got, if mine is enough for the tent but not anything like "super effective powerful" so the next fan up which is like 1-200 more CFM, it should help control the heat with what I'm already running without trying to switch to LED?, ultimately I know LED will cut on heat by 30+%.

Oh btw sense we talk about humidity, it only gets up 50%+ usually just at night I think, right now my humidity probably gets as low was 25% during the day and 30-40% average 90% of the day, the other 5-8% is at night when the humidity goes up to 50-60%, then the last 2% for fluctuation between the 2.... but here's the thing, I haven't been able to close the tent door yet due to even with the scrubber it seems my tent heat is 30 degrees.
BUT I haven't exactly done a full test yet with the scrubber and inline fan.... along with the AC running. I only recently got the AC, the fan and filter are still in original packaging still, but I think CFL is inefficient which is why I wanna go with some LED to speed the grow and make them all happy, the one small one here

is also planted sooner, both clones and from the same mother, please ignore the burn, theyre just in organic soil, feed only water.
Also please ignore lower leaf problems as it's stopped processing and the plant is actually growing without problem and new growth seems to not even have nutrient burn all, and seems to have grown a bit the last 3 days.

Once I can close the tent and I can see the tempatures it reaches without overheating past 25-26 degrees, unless the plants really like plus 28-32 degrees then I'll close that tent right now and raise the lights 2 inches and let them take the heat, because they're watered, humidity will increase? But no hot air will expel from the tent until I deal with my inline fan noise cause it will need to run as long as the lights are on at least

BlueBerryMango, I have a MEIZHI 900w light that seems the same as the VIPARSPECTRA 900w, but it's cheaper than VIPARSPECTRA

Hang exhaust fan with bungie cords, kills alot of noise.
Think of a dryer blowing air outside, you hear a large amount of air being blown outta the hole, I'm currently running an AC, vented outside of course and it sounds like I run a dryer 16 hours a day, the first hour and last hour it's pretty cool by then to not need AC.... but ultimately what you are all saying is attach the fan so it moves around with the viberations, and this will also help with the sounds of blowing air?

Run an AC, an inline fan or 2, 3-4 oscillating fans in a small room and you got a lot of noise you don't want. Specially in an appartment building, and In a room where you open the main door and you can hear the fans from the tent....

Insulated ducting also works well. I wouldn't advise adding "more" ducting because that makes your inline fan work harder and can actually make more noise. Another idea is to use a variable speed controller, you can turn the fan down to a bare minimum and make it much quieter

turning down below around 35 percent reduces the life of the motor too
