Should you Buy a Magic Flight Launch Box MFLB to Replace Joints?

Hello,

It probably a bit arrogant that I think my opinion might mean anything, but I was looking for reviews for the MFLB recently and never really found the answers to the questions I had.

For the sake of whether you can relate to my opinion, my weed tolerence is decent.

I'll smoke 2 joints a night during the week, a couple more on weekends, they are always cut with tobacco, some nights if I'm out and about can easilly smoke 5-6-7+.

I just wanted to cut tobacco out totally and try and healthy the whole process up so went looking for a vape, and didn't want to spend over £100 including poastage etc. ($140 ish I think? can't be assed looking)

I didn't care about how fucked I was going to get and how many trenches to get me majorly baked, and that was a focal point of a bulk of the reviews I read.

Could the magic flight box replace my 2 joints a night and be good enough to be the only smoking device I use....?

Yes...yes it very well could.

In my opinion, look at the MFLB as an electric joint.

Fill it more or less to the top and you will easilly get 5-8 nice tokes off it, you still get a similar feeling of smoking a joint but without the nasty taste.

I don't mind bongs but I don't think it's as relaxing as sitting back with a joint feeling comfotable.
Also a bong hit isn't a soothing hit either, they are tasty and wreck you the fuck up but they are also really intense in my opinion.

The MFLB is much more like a joint, it tastes terrific and the weed I grind for my joints fills the trench about two and a half fimes.

I just have one a trench in place of a joint and its just perfect for me, a better tastier high and I'm using 50% less weed than with joints and I'm saving a shit load on tobacco, not to mention I now get to worry a lot less about an awful painful lung related death.

There is a lot of talk about the 'shitty batteries' and it being a weak point. If you're going to the partying with it all the time then you might struggle and want to invest in more batteries.

If you're like me and just looking to replace your evening smokes (and the occasional heavy session) then the batteries will be fine. They last about 15 minutes each so one will easilly do for one night.

I love my MFLB and have only had it 3 days, I've cut my tobacco out, I'm saving weed and getting just as stoned but it tastes all conquering.

Though I do think if you hit bongs all day then something like this just won't cut it for you as any sort of replacement, but obviously a good supplement to have.

Thats the first thing I did, then I had to fuck about taking glue off the batteries as you need a bare battery to make proper contact.

And I haven't needed them yet, the two that come with have lasted throughout the day so far.

Just to comment on vaping compared to smoking a joint with tobacco in it;

I have a daddy deluxe vaporizer and love it but I do notice a big difference. It's well documented that when you smoke with tobacco in a joint (or just the fact that you are burning paper etc..) it's not just the weed that is stoning you.
It's all the other chemicals reacting in the body.
I hate to say I love both!
The vape goes straight to my head and makes me smiley hehe. The joint (with tobacco) slows me down totally body and mind.
A good hit off a joint and the smoke billows out cough cough on the vape a great hit you exhale pure vapor and cough cough still hehe

Nice review. The best feature of the MFLB, imo, is its stealth. I use it most when I'm out and about and don't want anyone even suspecting that I'm getting high. Haven't had any problems in that regard in the six months or so that I've owned it. Easy to carry around, easy to use (after a short learning curve...very different technique compared to bongs or even joints). Def want to have extra batteries around, though...if you smoke pretty often, two just won't cut it considering how long they take to recharge. I use modified Eneloops and a LaCrosse charger. Also, be sure to keep track of the plastic battery carrier that comes with it...you DON'T wanna carry around loose charged batteries in your pockets, lol, trust me on this one.

How hard is it to strip these batteries?
Not difficult really. I used a razor blade to cut into the foil wrapper (about halfway down, just to the depth of the LB battery chamber) all around, then peeled that part off, and rubbed the residual glue off with a paper towel moistened with paint thinner. Just be sure to let the excess paint thinner evaporate off completely before using the battery.

Probly took about an hour to do four...maybe less, I tried using vegetable oil first, that took way too long and it's a lot messier than using paint thinner.

Hmmmm, I hope mine is pre peeled lol
I guess I should have specified that the Eneloop rechargeable batteries have to be partly stripped, but the two that ship with the MFLB don't need to be stripped, they're ready to use.
Just fyi for anyone who's considering buying a MFLB...there's no battery modifications needed if you purchase additional batteries from the MFLB manufacturer.

Also, fwiw, I haven't noticed any difference in battery life between the MFLB batteries and the Eneloops. The Eneloops just happen to be cheaper, and I like to have at least four extra in the charger at all times, since after a while I found it nearly impossible to keep track of which ones are charged and which are spent. Having some sort of system to distinguish between the two is key, imo. Nothing worse than going out for a "hike and bake" session and then realizing you brought dead batteries.

Probably the best investment made by me. Makes my weed last way longer. Atleast it used to, been rolling fatties again.

fyi: i just had a pair of leaky eneloops fuck up themselves and the charger they were on, third time recharging (had used the charger for 5 years on various brands). idk if i had a shitty batch or what. now a) i'm scared to charge the rest of the ones i have and b) even if i wanted to i'd have to get a new charger first. battery acid blows chunks, literally! lol

I fucked up 3 of my batteries leaving them in the tin. One heated up and started sizzling. I threw it outside on the ground, now I'm noticing the ones that were next to it don't seem to be working as good as they should. Also see rust developing in tops of batts. Good thing I got my backup unit and 4 extra good batteries. Was soo high I forgot it said not to let batteries touch metal.

Wow...good to know, I'll keep an eye on mine. Been using it for about six months now, no problems....but, ya never know with these things.

so guys im getting a 4x battery case, you think this is smart to do? 3 batteries, and my stem in the case and then my flight box, meaning I can vape for like an hour while on the go?
