they are 1 x 1, I thought about it too but I am confident. If not, I can always cut out larger squares if needed, its plastic. You will see in about 3 weeks!

sweet. i'm gonna do the same out of pvc with a few plants i have in veg now. i tried to do it this time around but they were just too big by the time i got around to it. just gonna use bamboo stakes and tie her up tis time. scroggin the next batch though. gonna run both 4x8 flower tents on a flip with soil plants to get the 18 i have in veg outta there. 12 in one tent in tomato cages. 6 scrogged in the other. then when they are done putting the hydro setup in one tent. keeping soil in the other.

what kinda pots are you using. those aren't smart pots? look different. thinking of making the switch to fabric. how do you like it?

They are the cheap brand of smart pots but work just as good. I have them in 1,2 and 3 gallon. My 7 gallon is an actual smart pot. They are awesome cause your roots wont spiral and you can grow a lot bigger plants in smaller containers. I use CoCo and these pots and the growth is amazing and fast!

thanks. i'm really happy how it's turned out. i wish i had the room/capability to have taken a few clones. i really like how this one has grown. i ran into some small issues (low soil pH) in flower and i would like to see how it would've done with a bigger grow space/better conditions. but i'm not mad at the results for my first time. definitely going to use lst in future grows

Hey guys since I know there are some awesome LSTers here is like to get your thoughts on this:

Typically a plant is planted in the middle of the pot, I am not aware that the placement of the plant in the pot effects growth (could be wrong)

But here an idea I just thought of. During LSTing you need to bend the plant to the side of the pot and then need to bend again to the corner of the pot, this can lead to stress on the stem and ultimately snap..

So my idea is to place the plant in the corner of the pot, so then instead of the two bends you can just bend it straight to the other corner and so on...

Hopefully this makes sense, but I think its a good idea IF i do say so myself

Thoughts?
