Even if you don't run a 4x8 what are you running?
I'm switching from dwc to FD scrog so I'd like to read what ppl are doing too

Cheers

I run 2 4x4 trays in flower so basically a 4 x 8.

800 watts of Vero cobs about to add another 200 watts

I flood for 15 minutes every 2 hours in plastic pots filled with clay balls.

Canna A&B nutes with PK13/14 for a week about 3 weeks from harvest. Dump rez a couple of times through flower.

My advice for flood and drain is run sterile rez, use H2O2, plastic pots better than fabric pots, clay balls better than coco.

I a drip for 5 minutes 3x a day. I say drip, I set the flow rate pretty high, so it's really getting a good amount. In flower, I have 2, 600W Viparspectra and 1 300V viparspectra over 3 plants SCROG'ed nice and flat.

Also Canna A + B, PK 13/14 week 4, Canna Boost, Rhizotonic, Cannazyme, Mammoth P, ca/mg and Silica.

I run it until the rez iz low and fill it back up with a new batch. I find that in flower they seem to just about drink up the pot's volume every week. So, I'm filling about 15 gallons a week for 3 plants in 5 gallon pots.

Hi Thanks for the replys.
How long are you vegging and yeilding?
I was thinking 3 600 w hps over 4x8 or is that overkill? Thanks again

Usually veg about 2 weeks and run 9 plants each tray. Sometimes I do zero veg sogs and have run up to 24 plants per tray. Yield depends on strain but heavy yielding strains like Blue Dream pulls about 21 ounces and a lower yielding OG pulls about 14 ounces minimum.

If you can keep 3 600W lights cool then hell no its not overkill haha. Why waste time scrogging with that much light, just veg for a couple of weeks and put 20 or so plants in there. Unless you have plant # issues...

Plant #issues

Gotta run the Sweet 16 lol
I'm thinking of running 3 4x4s with 2-3 Scrogged plants in each for flower about 2months veg on each plant and running it somewhat perpetual for 8months (minus start up of moms) till I have like 6lbs
Strain I'll be running is gorilla bubble bx2
And maybe one or two other undecided strains.

Sounds like a plan man. Great choice of strain too, would love to run that!

This is my 1st run with this - I've been doing RDWC (still am) - but I recently added this on. I'm not sure what I'll yield. I just past week 5... Mine have been psyched with the 600W. If I had another, I'd swap out the 300 and have 600W on each. The one under the 300 the buds are looking nice, but the ones under the 600W are super tight and hard and starting to really get stacked. That's the difference. Also, keeping them nice and SCROG'ed flat.

This vegged longer than I had planned, about 8 weeks - and after moving them into the flower room and getting the tray all set up, I didn't have much more height to go. So, I haven't let them spread up and I have the LED's almost as high as I can get them. They're about 10" off the tops and despite conventional wisdom, they are happy. In the same room is my RDWC under HPS, sealed hoods vented outside - and those plants are showing heat stress. The LED plants do not - even at 10". Go figure...

All off these are the same strain all under identical conditions except the flowering light wattage.

The bud (5 weeks) in 300W:

From the 600W - they're a bit further away - but they're much more dense an thicker:

Here are some pics of my last run it was the bx1 in Dwc grown under a 600w hps0512172038.jpg received_1927923164147289.jpeg received_1927923877480551.jpeg
Full buds look white in person completely covered in tricomes.
Only beans available are the bx3f1 and the bx2. I plan on making some fire crosses with the keeper. Testers maybe?

Im interested too in this too.

How big are your resiviors?

How many plants per 4x4?

What do both tables combined yield for you on a good run with a decent yielding strain?

100L res per tray. Add H2O2 religiously every 3 days. Top off weekly with fresh water and add nutes to keep ppm at ~1000.

I usually do 9 plants per tray. My trays are actually 1M x 1M as we use the metric system so not quite 4x4. I run a perpetual so sometimes I have extra time for veg so I may only do 6 plants. Other times I have not time so I do zero veg 16 plant SoG.

I pull over 20 oz per tray of Blue Dream so for both tables combined it is about 2 and half pounds.

Nice setup. Thinking about doing something similar in my next setup. I will be doing vertical grow in a 4x8 gorilla grow tent. Meaning 2 rows of 4x8 trays. What is your experience regarding plant height vs pot size in your setup? Looks like they are relatively short and stout which is what I need. What size pots do you use?
