I guess you would need about half the wattage normally required (since you are veg only), depending on your grow area and style. So many more questions need to be asked, like how many plants you intend to put in the tent. I would suggest you first read one of the several major cannabis cultivation books (growers bibles etc). Start there, the indoor growing chapters will help you choose, soil or hydro, lighting, environmental controls etc etc. Once you know the type of grow you are going to build and the number of plants then you will be better informed and able to choose the correct lighting system.

It depends on what will be growing. If you were keeping two mothers and a clone station you could get away with average PPFD of 300... center the lamp/s under a 2x4 footprint for the mothers (around 600 PPFD) and side light hitting the cloning station. If you're using the extra space for bulking plants to go straight into flower you may want the whole tent to receive 500-600 PPFD.

Yeah I'm thinking about 3-4 small moms in about 1 gal pots for Dwc. And the rest of the room for a clone station.

I think ballpark wattage 150 could get the job done. Design the lamp so you have good coverage over the mothers and let the clones work with the side light. If you feel froggy bump the wattage up to 200-300. With a dimmer you can always turn it down.

It's 150 watts at the wall ? Can I see a pic of your light?
Sure. I'll take a picture at some point.

You just use an HLG-120H-C700

In my 3.5 x 3.5 veg tent I use an HLG-60H-C350. (70 watt) Works great.

I finally recently bought a kill-a-watt meter. I'll post some test readings.
