you don't have to do any type of preparation for ingesting mushrooms. if you have a weak stomach, or don't prefer the taste, you can always make up shroom tea. simply chop up the mushrooms into fine pieces, and place in a coffee mug. then boil some water, and pour boiling water over the mushrooms, with a teabag, and then put a saucer over the mug for 5-7 minutes to let the tea brew. you can add honey or sugar or both for taste, and then take out the teabag, leaving the shroom pieces in your tea. then drink up and enjoy the ride.

mmm shrooms... Anyone in Seattle that wants to give me a hookup??!?? :-)

We always used to grind ours up in a coffee grinder and cap them babies in 00 caps. That way they were portable and looked like a standard health supplement or dietary pill. I dont mind the taste of most, but there are some out there that are just down right gnarly tasting.

Throw back three of four grams and listen to some Infected Mushroom... All American favorite past-time right there. Hahah

the best way to take them is fresh, they taste just like any edible mushroom in your salad, you can eat them with ranch...mmmmm...

i'll never eat dry mushroom again.

I was able to harvest about 5lbs of fresh psilocybin shrooms from a local spot inhabited by horses during the summer, quite the harvest they were everywhere in this small valley. anyway, during the spring i found them at another spot and i dried them by putting them on tin foil in a short-sided box under a bed (for decrete drying) that worked well. Well this winter i tried to do the same thing, the day after the were spread out to dry they started to turn into liquid, so i took the remains (round 5lbs) and added them to a 1gal of alcohol (that was laying around) anyway the last time i did this and made shroom alcohol (more complicated) people reported an intense experience, to quote one fellow who consumed a pint of 151 ( which 1 oz of psilocybin mushrooms had been added, then blah, blah, blah, lol) the guy said he initially felt the effects of the alcohol, then when he was having intercourse with his gf, said it was the best thing hes ever done, lol.

The weight totally depends on the shroom's density. Think of your different varieties of bud... You could have a nugget that tight, thick and dense weighing 1/8th. You could have another fluffy, light nugget the same size that weighs 1g. A digital scale is your best guess when munching shrooms.

Please do not go picking every mushroom you see and wondering if you can get phuckered up!! Your best bet is to do some research on whether any hallucinogenic shrooms grow in your area. If they do, then you might get some form of literature, or a local hippie to help you identify anything that you might want to see.

Here in Seattle, its a mad dash to beat the other shroomers out to the islands when shroom season pops. They grown naturally all over the San Juan Islands, but they typically get plucked as soon as theyre ready.

easy way to spot shrooms in the northwest is to look for a conical head and black gills that are tightly packed, usually have thin stems but i've found they are very proportional to the head.
Spore printing is also very easy to do and easy to tell whether or not its a good shroom, black to purple/brown spore print means its probably a good shroom.
I find my shrooms where horses have been, mainly cause i dont have friends with cows, and i dont own any myself. The best shroom i've found so far is this little yellow guy which doesnt get very big but its the strongest shroom i have yet to find, its got grey gills but dark black spores, and a small bowl shaped head which is bright yellow, I have found this only growing directly on horse dung.
Also one note about the shroom books you'll find, many of them give certain seasons when you can find these, its not really true, I've been able to find shrooms all year long, just as long as its moist outside, and there isnt too much sunlight, or its too cold.

I would recommend eating them on a piece of bread with some peanut butter on it

bad idea!! peanut butter takes your stomach a long time to digest. instead of a going up peak come down trip, its all kind of one level..and longer. boil in tea...add lots of honey.mmmmm

I usually put my dose in my left palm, and have a glass of water in my right hand. I eat the mushrooms with my left hand, and wash them down with the water in my right hand, all on an empty stomach. I've followed this process and yeah it doesn't taste good but it works.

Next on the agenda is tea time.

Cranberry juice is also pretty good for washing down the taste if you're going to eat them bare... I still much rather prefer capping them suckers and swallowing three or four caps with no taste! haha
