HeLLO...... I just bought a 12"x12" piece of nylon mesh. the guy said that silk screens arent used anymore thats why they are so damn hard to find. Well he gave me a piece of 156 mesh. its yellow. is this safe to use. i found out that u should use a silk screen of 125 microns. thats not lines per inch like my 156. i dont know my micron count. CAN SOMEBODY VERIFY THIS IS OK PLEASE!!!! thankx

Well, let's do the math here.... All you need is a little metric conversion.

According to Google, 125 microns = .00492125984 inches. That means, a 125 micron silk screen will have a lines-per-inch count of 203.

So, the nylon mesh you have is not quite as fine as the silk screen you sought. If you are trying to shake out kief or hash, it will not be quite as potent. You stand to get a bit more of it, though.

Oh, and I forgot. Your micron count on the mesh is 162.8. I don't know if that will help you in any way.
